That was Opie, he worked with Peter at the beer factory, and got promoted over Peter as apparently he was somewhat competent.

One of the funniest things on there that I heard was Peter's "Don't get (another word used instead of cocky that is packed with much innuendo)." when Chris blows up one of the TIEs. Also when R2D2 leans out the side of the Falcon and caps a TIE saying "Thats how we do it in my hood bi*ches."

In case anybody hasn't heard, the Family Guy SW episode will be released on DVD in January, and the're going to parody The Empire Strikes Back!
The Giant Chicken as Boba Fett....that's the good stuff.

Did anyone ever find out what Peter Griffen did with that couch he found in the trash compactor?
Is it on ebay ?
I hope he that he at least had it steam-cleaned, shampooed, and sterilized.
Who knows what that one-eyed snake thing beast that attacked Luke did on that couch.

Wow, I see a ton of folks enjoyed this show. I really tried to enjoy it but maybe the years and years worth of repeats on Adult Swim just burned me out on Family Guy. I never was a huge fan of the show, it was mostly hit and miss with miss being the most part. Too much reliance on pop culture gags and trying really hard to be offensive and jokes that just won't end even when they are not hitting at all.
So Star Wars Family guy..I did not laugh even once. I thought the railing comment was actually the only inspired joke in the show. And it was not really funny. It seems like you would have to be forced to laugh at these jokes. I like funny stuff as much as the next guy but damn all that effort and this? Maybe people think that it is funny because it is supposed to be? I just do not get it. I like parody but this was just Star Wars with family guy characters pretty much just having gay jokes and obvious gags. This to me was Cracked Magazine type of spoofs but not as inspired at all. Oh Stewie is Darth Vader, I guess I should laugh...nope.
So what was so funny about this? Because it is Family Guy?

Cleveland would have been perfect if he wasn't already R2 (maybe they'd double him up?). Only other notable african american character I can think of would be the Ollie weatherman character. Unless they just throw up a black version of another character.
Also on the ESB front, it seems the ESB episode will be titled "Something, Something, Something Dark Side.", a reference to a previous Family Guy gag (and one of my all time most quoted).

To be honest, I thought quite a few jokes fell flat. Some were inspired, others have already been done to death, but for me, it was the Star Wars-y-ness of the thing that made it so good -- not the humour. Shot replication, the John Williams tribute, even the interplay between the characters seemed right. I think it was the most "Star Wars" tribute/spoof I've seen, although the spoof element wasn't as good as it could have been.
