The LFL statement is not on this subject of course...but the carefully wording seems to intentionally exclude mention of the Live Action Series...does this mean that it's not a guaranteed "go"?
Have they stepped back to a "maybe" stance...or has is always been "maybe"?

HERE is a link to a thread discussing the recent interview from GL to TV Guide. In the interview GL confirms that the LAS is still a go and he gives some details that are interesting.

Yeah this is a go, but it is taking a while and the question is would it really be worth it. You already are getting all the fixes from the novels and comic books anyway.

I think that statement in the original link is just saying that right now, they're focusing 100% on the Indy movie and the animated series and don't have the time or resources to devote to working on making the films 3D. In a few weeks, they'll be hiring writers, but other than George (and presumably a few others), the live action series isn't being worked on a whole lot.

But that is stunning if they truly hoped to bring this to television by 2009.
It seems like the animated series has been beefed up and the immediacy of the live action has been downplayed. It may still happen...but my hopes for 2009 grow weak...and part of me thinks if the cartoon isn't a huge success, they'll stop the live action before shooting a frame.
I thought these were to be concurrent projects...unless that is so, I have major doubts this live action series ever gets rolling.

I wouldn't be surprised if the LAS got moved back a year (or two) in light of Indy -- the Indy production issue has always (or at least for the past several years) been an issue of scheduling -- when GL, Spielberg and Harrison were all available at the same time, which has obviously been a chore. Now that they've all been able to clear time to film Indy, i'm sure that's a higher priority for GL than the LAS (especially with apparently a decent amount of his time already going to the animated series).
Have no fear, the LAS will come. Maybe (probably) not 2009 -- unless perhaps GL hands the reigns to someone else for more of the day-to-day oversight -- but it will come. Once Indy is in the can and post- is completed on it, and the animated series is underway, i'd expect GL to turn more of his attention to the live action.

Yep, it'll happen but it's just taking a long time to get off the ground. The foreseeable future holds the animated CW series...which should be exceptionally awesome of its own accord.

Yea the show is a go, Lucas will make as much money off SW as he can until he dies and his children take over and start spurting ridiculous SW toothpaste and their own paint hues. '3po gold' and 'saber red'.
It's going to be a long time comming, though. Their trying all sorts of FX and other things they've never done on film. Plus theres alot of unexplored writing going on too.
