A reminder (and summary) of our spoiler policy in LACWAC for the launch of the Clone Wars series:
We will keep the general *Official* Animated Series Thread (spoilers) found HERE as the single thread for discussion of any spoilers you hear or read about - if you somehow become spoiled for the entire first season and want to discuss it, this thread will be the only place.
We will have individual episode threads that will contain spoilers for that individual episode. We're upset about the late airdate in the UK, but for simplicity and efficiency, we're suggesting that two weeks after an episode has aired in the US, the contents of that particular episode will be up for general discussion in the LACWAC forum, and won't be restricted to the individual episode thread.
Garth was a 3NS (ROTS non-spoilers) Manager, and was a member of the 2NS forum as well. We understand the importance of not being spoiled in any way if possible. We're trying to use this 2-week window to ensure that you'll be able to watch each episode without being spoiled - after that two-week period, you're on your own. With the televised series, there's going to be new material to discuss every week, and we're just going to have to deal with spoilers in a more limited way than we did with the Saga films.
We are going to keep a non-spoiler thread active in the LACWAC forum as well. We're going to keep the title updated every week, to inform you which episode is no longer considered spoiler material.
For example, on October 17th, 2 weeks after the first episode airs in the US on October 3rd, its contents will be available for general discussion in any thread in LACWAC. Prior to the 17th, discussion of the episode will be limited to that individual episode's official thread or the general spoilers thread.
That way, we have 3-5 primary Clone Wars threads active at any one time:
-General Series Discussion Thread, Spoilers
-General Series Discussion Thread, Non-Spoilers
-One to three episode-specific spoiler threads.
If you have any questions or comments, perhaps you can PM Quest or Garth, or post them here and we can clarify the situation for everyone.
The Spoiler Policy Specifics:
Whilst shows are in production:
-All LFL (or Cartoon Network) released information/images are not considered spoiler material.
-Anything else is a spoiler and must be flagged up in titles as such. Failure to do this will result in a ban.
-HTR is suggested. This will be judged on a case by case basis, but HTR is recomended for most spoilers. Severe or multiple spoilers posted without HTR may be punished with a ban.
-Non Spoiler threads will be provided for those that don't want to be spoiled.
When shows air:
-There will be designated spoiler threads for new episodes for all spoiler discussion regarding that/those episode(s), unless secondary threads are marked as such in their thread titles (with the thread titles themselves not being spoilers as well).
-2 Weeks after the first US airing discussion of that episode is no longer considered a spoiler and can occur outside the "main threads".
-A general Non Spoiler thread will be provided for series discussion.
PIRACY POLICY
TFn and the JC are 100% against piracy - bottomline is that it kills the industry.
You cannot discuss where to find pirated material to download, and you absolutely cannot post direct links to pirated material. In the past the legal wing of LFL have contacted us regarding the timely removal of pirated material.
If you break this rule you run the risk of being banned, with little or no warning.
We realise that this causes a problem with the 'Holiday Special', which is not legally available anywhere. You can discuss the content of this TV show, however you can't ask or offer links for download.

Will NS threads remain free of spoilers after the designated time period is over?
I'm still a bit sore that 3NS had an influx of spoilers a month before RotS was released in Japan.

Er, if a spoiler-free user posts in a NS thread, then changes his mind and goes to the Spoiler Side of the Force, and updates his signature so it says something along the lines of "SWTV season 2, episode 5: Anakin gets his arm chopped off AGAIN!"
. . . how would this be handled?

I can't speak for the mods, but in 3NS we didn't allow anything like this; we even had arguments about whether or not users would be able to use icons from the ROTS trailers, etc.

Spoilers cannot be posted in sigs- depending of the situation, we may merely ask them to remove it from their sig, do it ourself, or issue a ban depending on the severity of the situation.
We're going to be basing NS periods for threads based upon initial US airings, so international posters looking to stay spoiler free, whose broadcast periods do not fall within that timeframe will unfortunately be out of luck for those threads, but we can certainly accommodate an additional NS thread for those international posters during broadcast runs.

The first season has 22 episodes, I believe. They've discussed the show running to possibly around 100 by the end of it's run.
