They were confirmed to be Dathomiri Nightsisters a while back. I think it was on IGN. I'm pretty sure it's solely a video game plot though... something about Dooku allying with the witches and having them fight the usual Clone Wars heroes on planets like Korriban.

I don't think so. I think the Magnaguards used by Grievous are IG-100's. Besides, I always took IG-88 to be an older type droid.

Wow the nightsisters are going to be in the Game? Weird. I thought they didn't actually wield lightsabers and only used the force..
I hope that is IG-88. Maybe this is where his "obsessive love" for Darth Vader is birthed.

According to an article in Nintendo Power, the new CW game has some ship in it which Dave Filoni liked so much that he decided to add it into season 2. I think it's called the Devastator or something like that.

There was also the IG series from the CW cartoon on TV and the guards from RotS. And if only the films are the guide, there is no timeline in question for the inception of IG droids.

I'm wondering why Anakin is always turned away from his opponent in these pictures. First the one with Assajj and him looking kinda confused, and now this one with an IG droid and his saber is ignited...

I'm hoping it's IG 88. It would make a good tie in connection as to why he was one of the Bounty Hunters Vader brought aboard the Executor.
Maybe he isn't his opponent, but he's raising a gun and it seems like [Im probably mistaken] that his arm has been cut off.
