Not only that, but with bathroom breaks and meals, It could add up to be like a little over 15. I don't think I can live with myself spending a whole day in a dark basement watching it.

I wouldn't mind if they did it in theatres though. Have an overnight thing, 20 minutes in between every movie to go to the washroom, eat something and stretch your legs.

I would be down with that ^^^, but I'm not sure I could stay awake. I'd have to nap all day for an over-nighter. However, I'm thinking about doing a marathon sometime during August before the CW movie. It'll get me more in the excitement and it'll be cool to say that I did it.

Before the CW release I might just watch TPM,AOTC and maybe the Microseries. Just so when I go see CW, I'll be starting where I left off.

Are they gonna keep showing SW on spike until everyone is sick of them? I own all the films, so I don't bother watching it on television.

I hope not. A&E and Spike have killed Goodfellas and the first two Godfathers for me for a while. They were on constantly.

I'm gonna have my own PT marathon at home before I catch Clone Wars in theaters. I think I'll watch the microseries after the movie though.

I can't believe there will another Star Wars movie in theaters (and in August!). Weird but very exciting. drooling

It's funny cause I remember how we all felt when ROTS came out. "The last SW film in theatres" and we're all hopelessly excited yet not wanting it to end at the same time.

Lucas just couldn't resist himself.

How true that is about feeling that ROTS would be the last film in theaters. But even with the CW release, is this going to be the LAST new Star Wars movie in theaters? I'm thinking....no. It wouldn't surprise me if they kicked off the LAS with a theatrical release....which would be awesome.

Or if Lucas ever did the other 3. I'm not going to lie, I don't want him to. That may sound horrible from a SW fan but I just feel the story's over and theres nothing else to tell. Sure, I'd like more theatrical releases, but sometimes you just gotta put your foot down.

The Live Action, I don't know how I feel about it yet. I guess I'm just saying that because we have only little tidbits of information about it cause I know in the end, I could love anything Star Wars. Hell, even those tacky Disney character SW figures I like.

I've always found myself in the minority on this, but I've always in my mind considered the Zahn trilogy to be Episodes 7-9. I would have loved to seen them made.

Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising and The Last Command?

Those were all amazing. I concur on that one, those would be great if they were made into movies. But Lucas said it himself, the story is about Anakin Skywalker- and once Anakin died in ROTJ, the story was done. I think if they did it way back when ROTJ was finished it would've worked because the actors would have been aging right and it could've shown after ROTJ and the PT's before ANH. It wouldn't have to be about just Anakin, but the legacy of the Skywalkers. But I guess thats what comics are for.

Well, that's why I love the EU. He says the story ends when Anakin dies, but that doesn't mean the galaxy ends. There is still so much more interesting stuff that is going on in the galaxy besides the Skywalker story. Granted, the Skywalker story is awesome, but there is plenty more out there.

I find a good portion of the EU I do read is Skywalker based though. I mean post-ROTJ, they're all Luke,Leia,Han and Chewie based stories with secondary characters. Thrawn has earned my respect more then once though, and he's a fictional character tongue

Even PT era EU it's usually about Anakin and Obi Wan. I do love the clone war books though, like shatterpoint and dark rendevous- oh and, don't even get me started about the Darth Bane books too, those are just clearly awesome.

Yeah, see, you just named several that have nothing/very little to do with the Skywalkers. But also, take note that GL's story of the Skywalkers pretty much includes only Anakin and Luke (Leia could be included). The EU goes further on and tells the story of their kids, and, probably soon, their kids' kids. That's what is great about it to me.

I like most of the EU. Not all of it. Sometimes it goes a bit too far and out there. I think the Dark Horse comics were very well done.

I liked the Dark Horse Comic where Luke goes over to the Dark Side and Leia has to save him. That was a cool story.

Like DS, I've always viewed Zahn's Thrawn trilogy as Episodes 7-9 and I think I always will until someone else gains control of the Star Wars trademarks, licenses, etc. from Lucas himself and decides that it's too much of a cash cow to not make movies set after RotJ.
