I just saw the most recent trailer (in front of "Speed Racer") and have to say that I'm underwhelmed. Overall, I don't like the animation style - the armored characters (clones) and vehicles look alright, but I don't like the way the human and alien characters look (Obi-Wan; Anakin; Yoda). I thought the animation on the Clone Wars cartoon from 2002-on was MUCH better, but I guess they wanted a different look than the TV show for the film.
I will see this in the theatre just because it's SW, but it's probably the film I'm looking forward to least this summer.

It's a possibility, but I don't know. If you look at this image...the 3D just doesn't have the defined cheeks like Tarkin does.

As excited as I am by the idea of a new SW film in cinema... The trailer doesn't do anything for me really. Apart from not liking the movement in the animation, there's the story... Jabba's son being kidnapped... It just sounds lame... I'm hoping it will make more sense when seeing it, but I'm just... underwhelmed. Obiwan is negotiating with Jabba, just like Luke. We've seen this all before, but also: I particularly don't like this idea because it would make Obiwan recognizable as a Jedi by a lot of criminals when he goes in hiding on Tattooine. Add to this Anakin having a padawan and I'm worried, really really worried. Still going to see because I'm a die hard fan, but I'm not convinced by the story elements.

True but then again Dooku doesn't have a pointy beard. Since they're going with stylized versions of the characters it could be Tarkin. Plus I don't see a mustache on him anywhere.

You have a point, Gobi-1...Mace Windu doesn't look exactly like Sammy J did...so it could be Tarkin.

I thought it was Tarkin aswell when i first watched it 
I found the scene where Obi-Wan stands before Jabba kinda cool, it's very ROTJ-Luke and i guess it could explain why Jabba reacts towards Luke the way he does... should be interesting

I love this animation style. I randomly watch the hi-def trailer every now and then and highly enjoy the crystal clear and smooth images it shows. I can't help it. It appeals to me!

I, too, like to watch the hi-def trailer...looks amazing. I just wished I had an HD Cartoon Network channel.

But Tarkin is a few years younger here then in ROTS, and a hell of a lot younger than ANH. It's probably going to show him starting his rank in the CW and keep in mind he's only cold in ANH because he's been doing vicious acts for the Empire for 20 years.
This is when the Republic is still enstated, and the Jedi still exist. He can't exactly be blowing up planets with the Jedi around
But I can swear thats Tarkin. The way he's standing, and even his uniform, it's unmistakeable. Although, I do agree the cheekbones don't exactly match up, it could just be the animation style. I mean, Anakin doesn't look EXACTLY like Hayden.

I hope Tarkin is featured and also characters like Mon Mothma - background characters in the PT who become important in the OT

Yep, thats what I'm hoping aswell. But even if CW does only focus on Anakin, Padme, Obi Wan, The Jedi Council and Sidious, atleast we'll see the others in the Live Action.
