Thanks for the updated links! I was worried that I had missed this!
GREAT trailer. Really, anything new that's Star Wars is awesome to me. And like I and others have said here, the fact that the Clone Wars and the LAS has GL supervising but others handling the writing, directing, etc. gives me more hope. GL has amazing ideas and has created an amazing world, but he just can't consistently deliver on the details of good writing and directing. With others handling those things, I think we as fans will get a vastly superior product than the Prequels.
Even with the Prequels, while some of it actually pains me to watch, there are many times I still want to watch them anyway.
Star Wars has some bad, but the good parts of Star Wars are just SOOOO good.

If not then the voice actor is awesome. One thing I found strange about the trailer is that we didnt hear Obi-Wan or Anakin speak. Now I seriously doubt that Ewan would get involved, but I wonder if LFL are still negotiating with Hayden to do Anakin's voice. He has expressed an interest in doint it. The emperor's voice is very poor, just as it was in the animated series, there must be a better alternative.

I love voice actors. I thought Yoda was done quite well in that trailer. I can't believe how many times I've actually watched this now.

Good trailer, but it does nothing to alleviate my great concerns for the series.
1) The use of Jabba the Hutt is a poor tie-in to the films. Tattoonie is supposed to be insignificant in the scheme of the galaxy.
2) Get a new voice actor for Darth Sidious already, sheesh. Re-animate Dooku, too. Good lord, he's fugly now.
3) Should've kept Ventress out of this and used Grievous to the fullest of his extent. Moreover, I hate that Dooku and Anakin fight in it.
4) Bash, bash, bash. You probably think I'm just complaining now for the sake of it, but the biggest concern is saved for last: Ahsoka. Purely a stupid idea giving Anakin a Padawan and it ruins Skywalker's character. It's a poor decision, but people already seem to latch onto her. And because she's only eleven, you just know that they won't kill her off. That's too dark for a kid's TV series; this isn't Revenge of the Sith after all.

(1) With the Jabba thing, I'm hoping Sidious/Palpatine is somehow arranging to have Anakin go to Tatooine, and that's really the biggest reason for kidnapping Jabbito.
(2) I agree the Sidious voice actor is pretty craptastic, I'm pretty sure my impression of Palpatine is much better (no sarcasm).
(3) I like Dooku's look.
(4) Ahsoka is obviously a wait-and-see plot point; she could be great, or she could be Jar-Jarette.

I did not know this. I've just searched and found the Lucas article when he spoke at Cartoon Network. Somehow I missed that. From her look, I would never have picked her age. But that at least means they can play a lot with her character: have a Jedi/Padawan who isn't all powerful. Who messes up ... even in simple things. I actually like that.

Who's to say that Anakin won't mess up and she just gets reassigned to another Jedi? You don't have to kill characters off to get rid of them.

I think having The Clone Wars come to Tatooine is a good idea. Whilst its a surprising twist, theres nothing to say Tatooine can't get involved through The Hutt's. Luke knew of The Clone Wars and whilst everyone always assumed he knew about it just through rumor and legend, maybe he knew about it because Tatooine was actually involved?
Of course, what this story also does is it gives Obi-Wan the opportunity to visit Tatooine, maybe visit the Lars Homestead (thus explaining how he knew where the Lars's lived at the end of Episode III) Find out what happened to Anakin's mother, and maybe, just maybe have a bust up with Owen Lars (thus explaining their animosity to one another)

true, G - only problem is that, if that were the case, it beggars belief that Luke wouldn't have heard of Anakin Skywalker - even if the Lars family is keeping him secluded, it's hard to believe Biggs et al. wouldn't have mentioned Anakin, hero of the Clone Wars. Of course, that story was pretty much blown to smithereens in TPM, when Anakin was hero of the Boonta Eve race....
