I love my Star Wars music and we only have 7 soundtracks (6 movies and Shadows of the Empire).

Well, four soundtracks (4/5/6 + SOTE), and three half-soundtracks (1/2/3 -- the Ultimate Edition of 1, being the choppy edited to crap version, doesn't count tongue ).

But asides from the missing prequel trilogy music, what else is there that's worthy of a soundtrack release? The games all seem to either have rehashed music or stuff that's really not all that interesting... Am I missing something?

No, but I'd still like more music. It sounds like the Force Unleashed is getting an original soundtrack, along with some of the original movie score. And for the record, I do like the 2 disk version Episode I got. It would be nice if we could get that for II and III.

If theres people out there willing to buy it--and there appears to be--I don't doubt LFL would be willing to sell it. I mean they made a soundtrack for a movie that never even existed (Shadows of the Empire), so they will probably do one for the real films.

I am thinking about buying this large lego looking star wars storm trooper figure and I want to know if anyone has seen it before or bought it before? I would also like to know if anyone has ever bought anything from this company's website. This aint no lego minifig this thing is one of the largest looking lego figures I have ever seen. There is no manufacture listed for this toy storm trooper. I really like the thing but I am not sure about buying from a company over seas in China. They look like a reputable company but I would feel better if I knew some one who has bought from them before. I can't find this collectible star wars figure anywhere else on the net and I really want it. Their website is www.LDUcompany.com and the link to their collectibles page is www.liangdianup.com/collectibles_1.htm

If any one out there knows anything about this big lego storm trooper please reply. Thank you happy

I'm fine with Kevin Kiner doing The Clone Wars, but my main concern is the reuse and development of themes. Of course, he'll use the Star Wars main theme, but what about the smaller ones (General Grievous theme, Force theme, Anakin theme, Duel of the Fates theme, Anakin vs. Obi-Wan theme [Battle of the Heroes], Darth Sidious theme, Darth Vader/Empire theme [Imperial March], Jabba theme, Yoda theme, funeral theme, arena theme [Clone Wars battle theme], battle droid march theme, Anakin and Padme theme [Across the Stars], etc....)? That's a lot of musical themes to develop. I just hope he's up to the task, and doesn't concentrate entirely on his own new themes. We fans have grown to love John Williams' Star Wars themes, so naturally those themes will continue to make Star Wars successful. Kevin Kiner may be a fine composer, and I do look forward to hearing his new themes (possible themes for Ahsoka, Asajj, Durge, Boba Fett, clone troopers, etc.), but it just won't be Star Wars without the original themes.

I agree 100% with this, and with what Grievous93 said. However, there is already a lot of music that I can see them reusing, and I don't have any problem with that. But, you're right about the new themes for the new characters. And I can see several situations where they would need new music. It will be weird knowing that they won't come from John Williams. sad

I hope he continues with Williams' leitmotif style; developing themes for each of the major characters. Wasn't there a report stating every new planet would have its own theme? Sounds promising.

Kiner has experience developing themes by others (Stargate: SG-1, Wing Commander); between that and the poster crediting themes plural to John Williams, I'd expect to see Kiner working with the movie themes as appropriate.

Its 50/50 that we are going to hear some of john williams music in the films plus shows. And to think the new star wars film is going to be broadcast by warner bros. This is going to be a weird Star Wars film.

I think there are snippets of the music playing in the background at the official site. It sounds pretty good...

Yeah, I like how it's clearly SW but a little edgier than what John Williams would do.

I think that too. I also think that an edgier sound sounds the time and them of the Clone Wars because they are in fact at war. I'm optimistic about what he'll bring to the table.
