Peter Mayhew/Chewie gives us some hints?!

So many of you have probably seen the update on theforce.net official page. Peter Mayhew made a comment about there possibily being even 3 clone war movies, and Chewbacca featured in the series.
So what are your thought? Do you think they're will be 3 seperate movies- a trilogy + the show, or do you think the episodes will be plastered together to make another movie and so forth?
Also, if Chewie does return, I wonder how he'll look CG. Him fighting in the Kashyyyk battles would be EPIC.

Yeah, just read that. I find this suprising to say the least. I'm a bit unsure as to why they'd let Peter know about having more Clone Wars movies seeing as he technically wouldn't be in them. It's not like he's making the noises of Chewy, he just plays the figure beneath the costume. For right now, I don't think they'll have 3 separate movies. The show is debuting in theaters in August and the show is supposed to premiere around September/October (if I remember correctly). I don't know how they'd fit in three different movies during that time. Maybe EACH season will have a theatrical premiere. I think that's more plausible.

Saber makes a good point. Since Peter doesn't voice Chewie, what involvement could he even have in the animated series as sad as it is to say that?

Like Peter Mayhew knows anything. Wouldn't suprise me to see more animated SW films though.

It'd be nice if they made a pre-Phantom Menace trilogy as well involving a younger Qui-Gon, Mace, Dooku, Sifo-Dyas and Yoda, with Palpatine and Plagueis in the background. You can even throw in a pre-injured Grievous and cameos of Fett and the Mandalorians.

I don't think they'd ever go to that trouble, seeing as SW is mainly about Anakin. They couldn't have him just chilling in Watto's shop, being a slave and all.
Though I do agree that it seems strange as to why they'd let Mayhew know anything at all. Everyone knows George likes to keep things underwrap and if he's not involved directly, or at all, why tell him? But I always felt that Peter Mayhew has this emotional connection playing Chewie, but that could be just because thats the only thin he's known for...
Now that I do think about it, the "3 different movies" are probably the Seasonal premier movies. Either way, I'm still pumped as hell.

I do think they breezed over the Clone Wars rather quickly. It'd be great to see some more material on it.

I think Peter Mayhew might be helping the team of animators show like how he walks, moves, his head, etc. Afterall, Peter Mayhew IS Chewbacca.

Nah, man. What I mean is before Anakin is even born. I'm talking way back like twenty years, dude. At least this way they could show Obi-Wan studying under Yoda first. They could show Jango, being at a young age, training with the Mandalorian Mercenaries. They could even show Grievous and how he becomes renowned in the galaxy. And what about the mysterious sith lords Sidious and Plagueis and what they did behind the scenes? There is so much to explore in this time frame, and to see Lucas showcase Anakin and Padme again and again in these new movies is cool, but the next interesting storyline of what we want to know lies in this pre-era of the Star Wars sextet. Lucas showed us what happened twenty years after the first trilogy, but I think he should show us what happened twenty years before the prequels as well.

Don't forget that Mayhew hits the convention circuit. He doesn't necessarily have to be involved with Clone Wars to know any of this. He might have just chit-chatted with a Hasbro rep, who showed off the new Chewie/Clone Wars action figure and then let it slip that they might do more movies.

Also don't forget about Peter Mayhew's comments about Chewbacca's role in Episode 3 before the movie was released. According to Mayhew, Chewbacca was to have played a role delivering the twins...
