I guess I just prefer the 3D over the 2D. From what I've seen of the 3D series/movie, the styling is great. I am definitely loving what they've done. And, to be perfectly honest, I don't mind the style of the faces either. Some are a bit..odd, yes, but they are still recognizable, and they still look great.

It's just a preference thing. I see it as the one thing that stands out as not quite right. The cartoon is absolutely amazing. But when I see Dooku or Anakin's faces still holding on to a bit of anime, I think it takes the film down just a very small notch.

I personally wouldn't want to see a story arc that takes place 20 years before TPM. I don't know if much would be going on then. The Jedi first learn of the existence of the Sith during TPM and it seems that the dealings between the Trade Federation and Sidious took place not too long before that. If it was 20 years prior, I couldn't see much excitement or any relevant plotting during this time, but that's just me.

The only thing I would be interested in with a time period like the one the thread author is suggesting, is that they could do a lot of stuff with the Sith. Have them be all sneaky and assassin like, which I think would be cool. Besides that, it would be just plain boring. I mean, the only action would be from Jedi hunting down smugglers and the like and arresting them. I could see a lot of politics going on which would, to put it bluntly, boring.

We can guess what's going on 20 years before TPM. Peace, Jedi keeping order, a young manipulative Palaptine. What would be really cool is to go back to the era of the Knights of the Old Republic. Or go back to the moment when the very first Sith began ruling and took on the first apprentice or perhaps fell from the Jedi, if that's the case.

That's the story arc I think we're all looking for. There are so many possibilities and so much that could be covered in series like that. I think we'd all like to see more of the Sith and the ongoing battle with the Jedi. Like I mentioned in another thread, if the two series do well, I could see something like this being developed.

That's what I want to see. What started it all? Was it a Jedi gone bad who became a Sith? How did it all start? Was there a Jedi Council and how did they band together to meet this challenge to the universe?

Yeah, seeing the origins of the two orders would be absolutely amazing. I have always been itnerested in that story, and have never seen it. I do believe it goes something like a band of Jedi became Dark Jedi and went to some planet where they conquered the Sith (becoming Lords of the Sith). But, seeing it on TV would be great.

^^ Actually I'm pretty sure that's what happened. I just was reading in the Jedi vs. Sith Essential Guide to the Force the other day while in a bookstore. I read so much information that it all sort of got jumbled and I can't remember specific names or exactly what was said to have happend. However, I'm pretty sure you're right.
By the way, that was a pretty cool book and I plan to buy the next time I'm in there.

Yeah it's a very cool book. They cover everything from the begnning to (I think) just pass ROTJ, and maybe even further. They talk about what Holocrons are and the different ones that were made which I found to be extremely interesting. They talk about how people found out they were force sensitive. It's basically an entire history, including pictures, of what's gone on with the force and force-users.

Yeah, I have it. I like it a lot. I haven't read that much, just certain spots and I must say, it is very cool. From what I understand, it's like a history of the Force from characters within the SW universe.

That's exactly right. Some parts are told as if they're from first hand experiences. It's like reading old scrolls or archives of survivors of different events.
