Am I the only one looking forward to the the Series coming out? I mean Lucas did say that if the Two Star Wars show both Clone Wars and Live action does well He would let other people go back in time and do something of the KOTOR/Tales of the Jedi era. It would be cool if they actually did something even before tales of the jedi.

He said that? For real? Do you have source material for that? I would like to read that.
If that is true, I would love to see them cover this period. A show like this would be what a lot of people want in the area of the Jedi and such; there would be so many Jedi and stuff, it'd be great. Though, I would not really want them to cover the area of Revan and such. That should be left to video games/novels, IMO.

I forget the actual wording, but at C3, a fan asked Lucas at his panel about a KOTOR-era show, and Lucas said something to the effect of if the first show was successful, they'd explore other eras like that.

I hope that it is not live action, but animated. That era does really well with the exaggerated force powers, and stuff like that. What I don't want to see is the prequel type of useless jedi's. That I don't want, but before I can say what I want, I first need to see the way both the animated and live action hows go. Then well see if they can handle another era. I also have a feeling that the second animated show will be set in the Indiana Jones side of things, and why not since this movie has already made a quarter of a million dollars at the domestic box office and over half a billion in the international one and Japan hasn't even opened yet.

Even though, with that being said...that does not mean that they will do that at all, let alone that era. He just said that they would "explore the possibility" of doing other era's.

Considering the context, however, it's pretty far fetched to think Lucas wasn't meaning SW ancient history. Though all this is a pipe dream. George Lucas says a lot of stuff that he either later denies ever saying, or that just kind of ends up vanishing.
A KOTOR/Tales era, or style, series would be cool but I'll believe it when i see it.

this could be interesting but only if the jedi are portrayed as looking,dressing,fighting and acting very different from what we see in the prequels.the jedi of KOTOR era have to be different in every way from the useless jedi in the prequels. and also becouse i feel like now a days ALL WE SEE is jedi this and jedi that, it kind of kills it after a while and star wars is about more than just jedi but for some reason that all people seem to care about,why? theres more to it than that.

I don't know...that area is largely unexplored really. I think a KotOR era storyline would be much more anticipated and liked.

I would like to see what the two KOTOR games would be like transferred over to film. They could just recycle the voice overs from KOTOR and add them in for the film.

Lucas definitely said that. I remember that very distinctly. But that has to be preficed. That was him answering the same old question for the nth time about whether we could expect essentially Episodes 7-9. Would there be the after story of the OT. His response was that way before he'd ever do that he found the KOTOR era to be much more interesting. He'd never go beyond the OT because that story, in his opinion, ended. In that article he wasn't saying he'd ever do it. It was an if he did which he said he wouldn't.

According to the Wookieepedia entry on the LAS: "At Celebration III, Lucas stated that if this series (along with Star Wars: The Clone Wars) is successful, more television series may follow. He explained that he has considered setting the time frames of these possible shows during time periods far away from his films. When asked by a fan at his AFI lifetime achievement ceremony if this may include the Knights of the Old Republic/Sith Wars era, Lucas explained that is always a possibility, and that he may be interested in taking the franchise to those story areas one day."
