I think Ventress kill Ahsoka and in retaliation, Anakin will kill Ventress and that will tie into Revenge of the Sith and Anakin's character as seen in the films.

Sublime: That is an interesting and cool idea of them teaming up.

I remember when Lucas said this during ROTS production (paraphrasing), "We have these characters that start screaming 'What about me', because they don't show up in the next movie". He was specifically referring to Padme, Mace, and some of the other lesser characters that never show up in the OT.

Ashoka and Ventress are pretty significant characters in this series and to just have them not die kind of diminishes the series, IMO. It will make the series feel more like it's an alternate universe and not consisent with the movies. We're not talking a large gap like ROTS and ANH. We're talking 12-24 months between TCW Series and ROTS.

Surely, if they were both alive, wouldn't Anakin be looking for his former padawan? Or at least mention her at some point in ROTS, to Obi-Wan or Padme?

Let's not forget the Jedi Order made finding Grevious it's #1 priority in ROTS after Dooku's death. Wouldn't Ventress be a threat worth mentioning and looking for?

Obviously, Lucas didn't think of some of these things because 'things' like Ashoka didn't exist yet.

The writers of the TCW Series has to make these stories fit with movies.

Just to show Anakin's lingering dark side, he sets a ship to explode and in it is Assaj. Fully aware of this, he leaves her trapped in the ship and when it explodes, the rest of the series could deal with how people see Skywalker and the turmoil he feels within for letting that happen.

That's just wishful thinking but whatever the case on how she gets 'offed', I'll be okay with it.

Whatever they do with Ventress I hope they leave it open that she could still be alive so it doesn't screw up the existing continuity with the comics. As it is, I hate that some people claim that her appearance in the Boba Fett YA novels was after she supposedly left the known galaxy to get away from both the Jedi and the Sith.

I like the Dark Horse comics, but I have already read them, and I think it would be a mistake if the creators of this series let the story be dominated by the EU already written. Both because in my opinion it would be creatively redundant, and because I think it would make the series less entertaining if we already knew most of what would happen in the series, and to the characters that don’t appear in the movies.

I haven't read the EU idea previously mentioned, about Ventress simply walking away from the Republic and the war. This, though, gave me an idea...

Ventress goes into exile for years, constantly working to improve her Dark Side powers. She pays no attention to developments in the rest of the galaxy until, believing herself to be a her absolute peak, she returns. She finds the Republic replaced by the Empire, with Palpatine aided by some new mysterious apprentice called Darth Vader. So...

You take it from here.

I hope that Ventress and Ahsoka cancel one another out; this would resolve the plot holes that would be left by leaving them (mostly Ahsoka) alive. Ventress needs to die because I'm sick of this "dozens of dark Jedi running around the galaxy during the OT" business the EU seems so fond of. It's tired and insults Vader/Sidious.

I do, though, like the idea of her discovering Sidious=Palpatine and then having to be killed to safeguard the secret.

I'm sick of Dark Jedi getting redeemed in the EU, it makes Obi-Wan and Yoda look like morons for thinking Vader couldn't be redeemed. I'd love for Ventress to die while she's still evil.

Honestly, I think the fact that Ventress regretted her actions to some degree appropriately shows how much of a waste the dark side is. Same goes for Dark Rendezvous, KotOR and ROTJ.

I mean, these characters make for some really badass villains, but in the end the idea is that fighting for hate and malice destroys everything around you, and then yourself.

The Answer Has Already Been Given

Here's the deal:

Yoda says in TPM "Always two there are, a master and an apprentice."

Darth Pleagus and Darth Sidious

Darth Sidious and Maul

Darth Sidious and Dooku

The Emperor and Vader

The Emperor and (almost Luke)

Ventress upsets this balance. She's the third. She should not exist because she represents a challenge by Dooku for the top slot, when the Emeror/Sidious learns of this either he will kill her, or order Dooku to kill her, or have the two of them fight and Dooku will be the winner, only to be killed by Anakin in ROTS

Of course I could be wrong.
