Meh, as much as I enjoy the CW cartoon, if there's a conflict between it and Dark Rendezvous, I'm going with the latter. Sidious knew about Ventress and pretty much understood that she was just a minion. Dooku was also becoming increasingly frustrated with her lack of success in numerous missions and by the time Obsession rolled around, decided to get rid of her. And speaking of Obsession, this topic shouldn't even exist since Ventress's final fate has already been covered and done so in an appropriate fashion.

The2ndQuest posted:Ventress walking away is not her "final fate" but it is a great conclusion to her character arc so far as the Clone Wars are concerned. I'll reitterate that a bad guy doesn't have to die to have a resolution within the saga. Most of them do, but not all.
JediLight posted:True, but how do we explain her never showing up in ROTS and the OT? She's a significant character and the usually deserve more.
JediLight posted:It sounds like her final fate is walking away. If that's the case, I think it's pretty lame. They need to close the character arc before ROTS and the PT. If you want SW fans to accept these stories as "canon", then they have do some of the obvious things like clean up (or kill off) characters who don't show up later.

JediLight posted:Surely, if they were both alive, wouldn't Anakin be looking for his former padawan? Or at least mention her at some point in ROTS, to Obi-Wan or Padme? Let's not forget the Jedi Order made finding Grevious it's #1 priority in ROTS after Dooku's death. Wouldn't Ventress be a threat worth mentioning and looking for? Obviously, Lucas didn't think of some of these things because 'things' like Ashoka didn't exist yet. The writers of the TCW Series has to make these stories fit with movies.

Obviously, Lucas didn't think of some of these things because 'things' like Ashoka didn't exist yet. The writers of the TCW Series has to make these stories fit with movies. Maybe George Lucas could twist all this into context, by re-editing the Prequel Trilogy, into the 1st Season of the Live Action Show. The three movies could easily become 12 episodes of 30 min. each and then he could add a few episodes of Asokha and Ventress. Plus extend the Jedi Purge so it will last a few episodes, with more photage of Aayla Secura, Plo Kloon, Ki Adi Mundi and others. An episode with Sifo Diyas' mission and death could also be put in there...
