	More films wouldn't be helpful, the last 3 were disappointing and setting some after ROTJ won't work so well with an old cast. The 19 year gap between ROTS & ANH offers a lot of possibilities, and if well written with decent characters there is absolutely no reason why the series can't be as great as other sci-fi shows like Battlestar & Star Trek. The Force Unleashed was well written in that time period and it worked. KOTOR is not in the same time period but the characters were brilliantly done and had a twist no-one saw coming, if this is the standard of the LAS then it will be great. And the Clone Wars series was really good, why shouldn't the LAS be good? Lucas isn't directing it all or writing it all which means there is a high probability it could be better then the Prequels were. -----signature----- Amor Numquam Moritur... 	Maybe it's just me, but I;m just getting a bit sick of Clone Wars era SW. I would like to see them take the LAS into the old Republic territory, with new characters, something along the lines of KOTOR. There's so much tat could be done, it's virtually an untapped resource. And it's far enough in the SW past that no one would have to worry about stepping on future plot lines. But the idea of another series set in the Clone Wars era just doesn't appeal to me, nor does messing around with the time between trilogies, because you know they would want to use Han or Chewie, or Obi-Wan or some crap, and it would mess with the timeline and create more confusion. I really can't understand why they don't do an animated series that takes place post-ROTJ. It could work really well and be quite entertaining, there's so much material out there already to get 'em started. It would be cool to see an animated Thrawn Trilogy, or Han Solo Trilogy. Carrie, Harrison and Mark have all turned out to be great actors too. As far as that goes, I think it'd work very well. Then in terms of what story would be told in the movie, I don't know. Possibly the whole issues with the Yuuzhan Vong. But to be honest, I don't like Yuuzahn Vong at all, they seem a bit too Star Trek-ish to me. It wouldn't work because they are all too old and, no, their ages don't match with the timeline. Maybe what is currently being written, but I think people would want to see how the new academy was formed what happened to the remnants of the Empire and all that, most of which happens within the first few years after ROTJ. And have you even seen Mark Hamil, Carrie Fisher, or Harrison Ford lately? Hate to say it, but none of 'em have aged very well, and Harrison, who got the better end of that stick, still wouldn't come back to reprise his role. No, the way to go, if they're going to do Post-ROTJ era films or shows, is animated. There's basically no limitations, and hell, I bet they could even get Mark Hamil in there to do some voice work, maybe Fisher as well... Unfortunately, I don't think it'll happen either way, which sucks, because it could probably work out really well. 	yeah, I have read places were Lucas wouldn't put ANY of the skywalker family in the show. I heard he feels like he has told theri story already (a been there, done that type of thing). I deifnitely think that the LAS will feature Boba Fett or Jabba The Hutt a lot. But that is different than what I want the show to entail. What I really want out of the LAS is a series about the Old Republic Era. That way, I feel that there would be less continuity issues, plus we are getting a whole new experience from the Star Wars universe. It doesn't even have to be about the actual KotOR video game series. If they just did something, anything with the Old Republic era...that'd be awesome. Just imagine: HUGE Sith vs. Jedi wars, don't even tell me that wouldnt be awesome to see. That's just my two cents though; I'd be cool with either a Boba Fett or an Old Republic series...prefferably the latter. -----signature----- I find your lack of faith disturbing...

I agree totally it would be my two cents that I would give away as well as middle earth storys and the story about the gods of middle earth. 	I wouldn't put it past Lucas to make another film or two. I think another 10 year commitment to another trilogy is off the table, but stand alone theatrical releases, mini-series, or made for TV movies I could see him doing. I remember when he used to voice that he was ready to put SW behind him, but then what happens? He gets the ball rolling on two TV shows and has admitted that he enjoys the franchise and finds it hard to let go.

	I read in Star Wars insider a while back and it said that they will reference the empire alot but it will hardly ever show them. 	I was watching E3 coverage on G4 about a month ago and after they premiered the trailer for The Old Republic MMO one of the hosts of Attack of the Show and several others at E3, were told there will be a HUGE Star Wars official announcement at Comic-Con 2009, in San Diego. It is in three weeks and I have tickets, one of them is Friday, which is Star Wars day every year at Comic-Con, so it's a good bet the big announcement will be at the Lucasfilm panel on Friday. I really do think it's going to be the live-action series. I know for a fact from multiple sources that writing is happening and it is being developed. They said it will be a huge and significant announcement, and doesn't have to do with the Clone Wars animated series as they already have stuff there about season 2. And it isn't The Old Republic I'm sure, as the announcement for that was E3 and they(even The Old Republic developers) specifically said that it was a major Star Wars announcement, not an Old Republic announcement. 	I'm sorry, but according to Gry_Sarth, Drawton and Game525 it's completely impossiple that you'll see Darth Vader, the Emperor, Bail Organa or anyone else from the movies in it. It'll be about EU (extended universe) characters and there'll be no good or bad guys, only grey in grey... Just like in real life. They have it from the horses mouth, so they can't be wrong... You simply have to hope that GL changes his mind...

But didn't one of you (Drawton, Game3525, Darth_Morder or yourself) state on another thread that I was 99.9% wrong about which way the LAS would go. I remember arguing for Darth Vader being in the LAS, cause he is the villain of all villains. But one of you said that, that was utter impossible. Just like the rest of my ideas. Correct me if I'm wrong

	I won't answer for other people, but for my part I never said I knew with 99.9% certainty what the LAS will be about. We have clues and we have what we'd like to see. I NEVER said it was impossible for Darth Vader to show up in the LAS. I do think that, if he does, he won't be the main villain, but more of a background presence. So when you put all those stupid statements to my name, I take offense. I always make an effort to separate fact from opinion. Very little of what is said around here is fact, so we can't really say someone is wrong or not, we can just say we don't like their opinion. -----signature----- If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all.
