I've noticed much to my chagrin that Darth Sidious has not featured in either the movie or the first series of Bl***y the excellent 'THE CLONE WARS'

For me, the prequels were all about Sidious. I love the guy, and his journey was more interesting than Anakin's and Luke's put together.

Now, as I'm sure your all aware, during the making of the prequels
Sidious and Palpatine were treated as seperate entities

Do you think that the same thing will happen in the TV show, or now that Episode 3 is finished, we'll actually get to see that both men are one and the same onscreen?

If this proves to be the case, I would love to see some Sidious lightsaber action...

And maybe if they could work in a Darth Maul flashback...
that would fulfill my fanboy wish-list.

I assume they'll be treated separately, as III would still be the reveal chronologically.
With regards to Sidious fighting, I assume Palpatine would not want to risk being exposed, and Sidious is the secret leader so he surely would not get involved properly?

Something tells me that they'll keep them as being separate, but I wish they wouldn't, but with the exception of when he tries to turn Anakin, there really aren't any situations in which the story would call for him switching from one persona to another. I hope we'll get to see him transition from one persona to another. But I figure if they do that it will probably be late in the series. For instance he could reveal himself to Mas Amedda, as Amedda was clearly aware of Palpatine's true identity by ROTS.

Or perhaps even Gunray might know by the time of ROTS. When disfigured Palpatine contacts the clones, the clones immediately recognize him despite the injuries. Similarly, Palpatine also contacts the Separatists on Mustafar - without his face in shadow as he had done before - and nobody recognizes him?

Sidious also appeared in the TCW film, and in more than one scene.

Did anybody say "photographic evidence"? No? Oh, well, here it is anyway:

And I don't think the show will openly reveal Palps to be Sidious, and I like it this way. As long as they keep on giving those sublte and not-so-subtle hints that Palps is up to no good. I was rewatching Rising Malevolence the other day and it's really brilliant how Palps subtly plays Anakin against the Council. The Council expresses concern that Anakin moved out of position to search for Plo Koon, but when Palpatine reports this to Anakin he says "The Council is FURIOUS!!!"

Or in Hostage Crisis when he tells Orn Free Taa 'everybody has a job to do..", the look on his face said it all to me that yeah, he knows what's going on.

And as much as I like to see Sids wield his saber or use Force lightening on someone, I doubt we'll see that...he's supposed to be hidden, behind the scenes so to speak. That's why we've mainly only seen him in hologram which to me symbolizes that.

I definately would like to see him in person, much like the ending of Episode 2 AOTC where Dooku meets him in that warehouse district.

Much like the extreme closeup of his face during the TCW film.

I find too much Sidious would cheapen the character, he is supposed to be a behind-the-scenes string-pulling character.

I do wish it were less obvious he was Palpatine, though.

Well, considering we know he's Palpatine, I don't see any problems with obvious hints. But I agree that he should remain behind scenes and only appear sporadically as a hologram and extremely rarely in the flesh.

For most of the series, I think he should remain completely hidden. I do however want him do something... well... unexpected, during the events of the war.

With Dooku and Ventress planning to take him down (which they obviously don't), it seems we might see some conflict between masters and apprentices. It is possible that Dooku and Sidious may not have been working together as well during the events of ROTS.

I wouldn't mind him killing Asajj or showing up in person to see to it that Dooku kills her to prove his loyalty a la TFU. She's a villain to Anakin and Obi-Wan but at the same time is still a secret apprentice and therefore a threat to Sidious. Sidious/Palpatine is my favorite character and I kind of want to see Dooku and Ventress make a play for power against him and see Asajj killed, but at the same time - from Anakin's view of things - she would then just disappear and be forgotten about, which wouldn't make a good conclusion to the conflict between her and the Jedi.

That's true, but we knew that since Episode 1. I just meant for the sake of continuity with the movies, which make it a little less obvious until his reveal in ep. III.
