LawJedi posted:The Director's Cuts are subtle and confusing, and I hope for a FAQ on the changes online some time soon. What shocks me is that the Blu-Ray cut of Downfall of a Droid cuts a line of Anakin turning away from Ahsoka while smirking and saying "get going, Snips." I loved that moment. Why was it cut? If that was cut, what else was?

If that was cut, what else was? They really aren't confusing at all. But I was just coming to post about the "Duel of the Droids" episode too, with cutting those lines. I'm personally was happy. "Get going Snips." "Well its up to us to finish the mission..like usual." ..really? Thank god it was cut because that was awful.
JasonW posted:Director's cut doesn't mean extended cut. It means the director's preference in a cut. Certain lines appeared that way on TV because we were going to have to wait 5 minutes to the see the next scene and they were used as guides to keep the audience's attention. So it makes sense to cut some lines here and there as they are redundant in this context.
ken1977 posted:Hey guys....new to the forums. I had a question and I'm hoping someone here can help me. I have the new Clone Wars Blu-Ray season one set and it is awesome.....but I think my disk one might have a defect on it. In the episode "Destroy Malevolence" close to the end of the episode Obi Wan is running to catch the elevator with Padmé and Anakin on it while fighting off a few last droids, he yells wait for me or something like that.....anyway, my screen or aspect ratio jumps from the wide screen with the black bar top and bottom to full wide screen (like on Cartoon Network). Just for the few seconds he's running...when they show the others in the elevator it goes back to the normal wide screen. My question is am I alone in this or do all of your Blu-ray or even standard DVD sets also do this????? Any help or info would really be appreciated......thanks.
