That would be great happy

On the Blu-ray at least, there isn't really a menu. A montage of clips plays and the little Blu-Ray pop up menu comes up and you use that to go wherever you need to. There is no menu screen.

Yeah the Blu-Ray set menus are exactly like The Clone Wars Movie.Just a bunch of random shots.
I will say the series is amazing in its original aspect ratio and in perfect HD.Ive just finished the 1st 4 episodes along with the features that go along with them including The Jedi Temple stuff and man is it amazing.

I'm getting the blu-ray even though I don't have a blu-ray player yet! This will give me reason to buy one. LOL. Honestly, I haven't cared until now but because the animation is so awesome on this show I want to see it in the best possible picture.

I watched a few episodes yesterday. I can't say that I noticed anything different with the Directors cut episodes.

Why don't they just show the full widescreen versions of the episodes on tv?

The only reason why half the people that got the dvd set paid for it was because they desperately wanted to see the episodes in widescreen.

I mean honestly, is there anyone you know that would actually complain if they started showing the show in full widescreen?

Maybe 8 or 9 years ago the majority of people favored fullscreen but today pretty much EVERYONE likes widescreen and HATES fullscreen.

You're answering your own riddle. If half the people as you say, bought the DVD because they wanted to see it in Widescreen, why would they show it in Widescreen? That hurts them. This is incentive to buy the set and see it properly.

I agree with you, I wish they'd show it in the best way possible. But at the end of the day, we get it on Blu-ray or DVD and we see it how it was composed. In the end everything works out.

Well, the format that they show the Clone Wars in now (cropped) conforms with all the other Cartoon Network shows, plus I'm not sure if kids would enjoy the black bars. I love widescreen, but kids usually don't.

So does the Clone Wars intro come up with the music/fortune cookie/narrator stuff each time at the beginning of an episode? Or can it all play where episodes flow into eachother like a big movie?

No. Each episode has an intro and credits. Considering most episodes don't even follow each other (hidden enemy, part 1 of 2 parters and trilogies), flowing from one to another wouldn't work.

I found a change from the broadcast versions! Rather than fade out and in during commercial breaks, they've done straight cuts or fades. From what I've seen, no footage is lost as they simply lose the fade and do a quick transition. It's pretty unnoticeable and is preferred to the cheesy cliffhanger, fade out, fade in, resolution that occurs when watching TV on DVD.

I kind of noticed this as well but didn't do any direct comparisons. I do think some of the fade outs remain but it's nice to have them minimized so it feels less like a broadcast show.

The only difference I didn't notice anything different was in Shadow of Malevolence, I only watch Rise of Malevolence and Rookies out of the director cuts and some of the "cuts" was noticeable. Like having Cody and Rex cameo in Rise of Malevolence.
