Hey guys if anyone is interested in starting a lightsaber combat class please post here and we'll set up a time and place for the classes.

okay we now have 5 people interested in the classes. Now who has their own lightsaber and are don't really care if it might break? Cause we might end up damaging them. If you want a saber that you can practice with and to own foreverI need you to send me an email so i know how many trainer sabers to make up and how many carbon fibre blades to order. Yes you can fight with the carbon fibre blades because they are difficult to break. I also need to know which style of saber you want to use. IE Single or double bladed

You can use your Shinai but the carbon fibre blades might damage it considerably. Now what style where you wanting? single or double bladed?

Alright guys I've been looking around downtown for the past week and found that we can rent the gym at either the boys and girls club on horton street or the YMCA on king street. I'm still trying to get a decent renting price but depending on how many people we get to these things, the prices will vary.

Out of curiousity, have you tried any of the elementary and high schools in the area? I know the school board that I live in allows the public to rent the gyms for about $45 for 3 hours which is a pretty good price, and if that doesn't work there's Fanshawe, Western and even some churches that would have gymnasiums open for public bookings. Hope you guys find a place! It sounds like A LOT of fun!

yeah I tried some of the ones that are close to me and they won't allow it due to insurance reasons. I could give the colleges a try. They're not too far for me to just take the bus to the UWO.

GOOD NEWS!!!! My stepfather has just informed me last night that there is a section at his workplace where we can do the classes. It's at 217 york street. I'm going to wait until later in the year to start the classes but we can most likely do them there free of charge.
