Horrible for you that is... terrific for me! 
Well, the crazy, muffin-throwing, hammer-weilding, Yoshee-haircutting girl from Sweden (yes, that's me) is probably coming to London in November! I tell you well in advance so you can find places to hide... 
Anywaaaay... I just like to ask, where to go if I want to get nice SW stuff? We have almost nothing of the sort here in Sweden, so I thought I might check what you've got over there...
I know of Forbidden Planet, went there the last time I was in London (in early '96...), and it was paradise... 
But are there any other places I must visit? What's the best comic shop?
Any tips from you experts?

Well, talking of FP, Laj_Fett just so happened to post a thread about the new FP megastore!! Here's what was posted...
Forbidden Planet in London has now moved to their new megastore at 179 Shaftesbury Avenue. Phone number is 020 7420 3666. The old site on New Oxford Street is being retained as an outlet store. I went today with a friend and the new store is very nice. It is much larger and easier to navigate than the old store. The action figures and toys are on the ground floor, with the books, comics, DVDs etc in the basement. Although they were still unpacking stuff and stocking shelves, the Star Wars sections seemed fairly complete, with quite a few new figures.
Easiest way to get there is to get off at the Leicester Square tube station, head toward Charing Cross Road, and then go up Shaftesbury Avenue. Going from the old store can be a bit confusing if you are not familiar with the area.
So you may want to check it out after all Enji
Can't think of anywhere else off the top of my head (on account of it not being attatched to my body at the moment )

I'm definitely going to Forbidden Planet...
Anywaaaay... this LotR exhibition I've heard of, I think someone said it was at the Science Museum or something like that. Anybody who could tell me where it is and if it's worth visiting?

Forbidden Planet is the place to go. There are a few film shops that sell a few things. And if your looking for figures then there are 1 or 2 shops in Oxford street that have hundreds. Well last time I checked anyway.

I went to the new Forbidden Planet for the first time today, and Enji, I think that you’re in for a bit of a treat.
It was kind of a nightmare finding it mind you. I had to resort to going into the ‘Orcs Nest’ (yes, there really is a shop called that) to ask for directions.
Anyway, it’s by far and away the best place in London for Star Wars gear, even if much of it is terribly over priced (fifty quid for a plastic Jango helmet).

WHAT? You live in London and don't go there more often? Crazy people... the closest thing we have to anything like it in Sweden is the Science Fiction Bookstore in Stockholm, and I go there at least once a month... and I don't even live in Stockholm!

I have no time. I can only go in the school holidays. I live on the outer rim of London, and it takes me a while to get to the main city.
