I'd like to see Fanboys but have no idea if it's picked-up a distribution deal here in the UK. It does sound good though. Do they express their thoughts after seeing Episode I?? wink Assuming their break-in was successful too.

I've seen quite a few new releases but the highlight without a doubt was Inglourious Basterds. It's really good and Tarentino back, very nearly, on top form. It's too long and self-indulgent, but it deserves to be because this is different and refreshing cinema at its best.

Haven't seen G.I Joe and even though it goes against everything I stand for it does seem like an honest brainless flick that does exactly what Transformers should have done (but didn't because Michael Bay is a ****pot).

I really want to try and see Shorts too. It looks crazy silly

The Avatar trailer looks mighty impressive I must say and I'm looking forward to District-9 which shall be hitting our screens next week.

Star Wars Robot Chicken 2 was indeed excellent.

Not particularly impressed by The Final Destination. It is still just a re-hash of the other 3 movies, the only new novelty being that it is in 3D. OK they managed a few new deaths but it was pretty predictable. But if you like that sort of thing then I guess it's good no-brain stuff. I still prefer the 2nd film.

Dorian Gray. Erm, I found it boring but wasn't so bad. My boyfriend loves this sort of thing and he loved the movie too. Not much more to add really.

Dorian Gray was a little drawn out in the middle, and I'm informed the way it was done was not very much like the novel. It was nice to see an Ealing Studios film again and some of it was filmed in the Greenwich Tunnel which I found amusing.

Colin Firth was good, Ben Barnes didn't have to do much other then look handsome, I didn't think he portrayed the cursed character overly well.

I strongly recommend Disney/Pixar's UP to all. It is one of the best of their movies and the scope of the picture is expanded well in the 3D version.
It works well for both adults and children, there were numerous people reduced to tears watching this film.

Pixar will be hard pushed to make Toy Story 3 better.

Yeah, I was one of those reduced to tears, lol. It was a great film, not sold on the 3D though.

I also highly recommend Fantastic Mr Fox. Really enjoyed this but not sure if it's really the film it should be. It's definitely aimed for adults and even then you have to like a certain kind of film to understand it. I do hope kids respond well to it though, even if it's a small minority only.

I've not seen it yet, but if it's like the book then kids should enjoy it. Dahl has always been a hugely popular kids author for good reason.

I watched Halloween last night seeing as it was the only good horror movie on TV.

I saw Fantastic Mr Fox and found it very enjoyable. Good voice cast and the stop-motion animation worked very well.
Having not read the book for a long time I can't tell how accurate the movie is in relation to it.

The only thing I found slightly confusing in the movie was which country they set it in. Obviously the book was set in England, and the farmers int he movie are english and the landscape looks a lot like it does here. However, the animal group features and Opossum and a Wolf appears at one point. Neither of these animals live in this country.

Have recently seen The Fourth Kind. It wasn't a bad movie and had some decent fright moments. It had an interesting style, but that was also a bit to it's detriment as it tried too hard to convince me that the footage was "real" when I knew it wasn't.
It was also a little too horror and not enough sci-fi. Possession and levitation is the sort of thing I expect to see in The Exorcist, not a movie about beings from another world.
