my buddy joel just went to a press creening of TDK and he's raving about it,saying it's an accomplished and polished film, much more so than even the prestige and memento!
all performances are good, with not one bad piece of casting.
and ledger should be nominated for an oscar, apparantly.
or so he says...
and he's usually on the nose with these things.

Ah ok, I didn't realise its opening a week later back in Blighty.
Had to visit the in-laws this weekend and hence didn't get to see it. Although I did persuade Anne to watch Batman Begins on dvd last night, and she's now well and truly in the mood for TDK. We'll be seeing it tonight for sure...
Richie, hope you already got your tickets for Wednesday - from what i've read most cinemas are now sold out.

Hi
With a week to go, thought I should send out a note with the final details on it.
When in London last Sunday, I found that around "our tree" the grass has been allowed to grow, to the extent where I think we should move elsewhere. Looking around I have found a good area located ahead of the third turning on the left when walking along the northern path of the park from the slop by the tube station. (Or by the Ritz, if you are really posh).
For anyone in London early, or passing through Waterloo, I will be under the clock on the main concourse at 1130, with an aim to heading towards the park at 1145.
As far as I am aware from the long range weather forecast, the weather is will hopefully be okay (!), but should it not, we will do something else and head to the pub earlier.
With regards to the pub, there is a Wetherspoons just south of Trafalgar Square on Whitehall that I would recommend heading towards. Thanks to Shabs to recommending it.
Currently I am expecting to see;
Mark
Tim & Sharon
Jamie & Theresa (with celeb guests)
Jason
Jane
Kerry-Anne (with celeb guests)
Craig & Karen
Bob
Park Meet Boy
Shabs
Joe
.....and anyone else that may want to join us, the more the merrier.
I have seen people talking about seeing The Dark Knight in the evening. Personally, I am not overly keen on going to the cinema as it will involve effort and organisation, neither of which I will be too keen on having spent a day doing very little. I am also highly confused by the plot; the Joker is supposed to be the insane one, but a man that dresses as a rat with wings is supposed to be normal?!?!
;-)
So all being well, everything is now vaguely in place for next weekend. Looking forward to it.
