Hey Everybody our 40th meeting. That's cause for a big celebration - or something.
We'll be talking about the upcoming I-CON convention and much fun stuff for the coming year.

Because some are always late, and so the meeting never starts until 12 anyway. Then we have a bunch of us sitting around wasting time. We thought we'd try the 12 start time, to see if things stay on schedule better. I have my doubts, of course. But it's worth trying anyway!

Billy, it was hard for people to get up that early
after partying hard all Saturday Night. LOL!!!
UP ALL NIGHT. SLEEP ALL DAY
I'll be there probably about 11:30am.
So I can eat before it starts. BuRp!
BTW, I went and saw Narnia w/ my Mom yesterday.
See wanted to see it. It was good. But during the
previews there was a moive called Bench Warmers
(baseball),but Star Wars all around in the backround.
It stars Rob Schneider & David Spade.

We meet in the food court at Broadway Mall in Hicksville every second sunday of the month at 12 Noon. Try to stop by. We have a bunch of extra seats. --Billy

What's the plan if the blizzard is really bad Saturday night? Currently they're predicting 6-8 inches snowing well into Sunday morning. Would the meeting get postponed, cancelled or go ahead?

Clive, I left messages with Ark & Billy about this.
Oh great tomorrow I'll digging out on my B-day.
yuk!! A NY D.O.T. guy came into work today so I asked
him what we are getting. He was told 7 inches. The
storm isnt going to end til after 1 to 2pm on Sunday.
Plus winds at 50 MPH. Meaning snow banks. I've watched
Fox, ABC, WB, UPN,The Weather Channel reports. As of
11pm. They all say the Island is gonna get the
worst of it (6-12 inches).

As for the meeting, well, hard though it is to believe, I don't think this has ever come up before. The most logical thing to do would be to postpone it till next week... except both Ark and I will be away then.

Now this morning on the Weather Channel
said the eastern LI could get up to 15 inches. 
YUK!! So are we still planing on having it on
tomorrow?  Plus also it might a long time to dig
out Sunday morning too. Or are we gonna wait til

I'll be away next weekend too. I dunno, man, it's 1:30pm and it's bright and sunny outside. Wouldn't even guess it was going to snow in a few hours. I'd say let's wait and see, and if it really is coming down hard well into tonight, maybe Billy/Triss or Abhay can send out a group email to let everyone know if we cancel. Most of us have each other's phone #s too.
That means you peeps would need to keep an eye on your email by tomorrow morning.
I wish we wouldn't have to cancel, this is an important meeting--it's the month before I-CON. Maybe, if it absolutely must be cancelled, how about the club having a group chat online or swapping emails through the list? That way stuff can still be talked about. (In that case I probably wouldn't be able to join, I have no home internet, I'm at the local library right now.)

Here is an idea: How about a delayed start meeting. We have our meeting at 6 PM or so on Sunday. The roads should be plowed and cleared by then.
Cause the next few weekends are not open for alot of us.
Because its the meeting before I-CON, it is important. We could always schedule it this week on a weeknight like Tuesday or Wednesday.
I will make sure we post somekind of update before Midnight tonight.
Please try to check your email and these boards before you leave in the morning for the meeting, in case there is a last minute change of plans. --Billy
