Okay I will call you if it comes down to a morning decision (if its cancelled I wont be up in the morning). But check your email at midnight and we will try and nail down the decision then.
Anyone else have an opinion about a delayed meeting at like 6 PM ? --Billy

Moriah brought up a good point. The mall closes at 6 PM, so we could do it either at 4 PM or do a dinner meeting someplace else. (They have a Ruby Tuesdays at the Mall)
It sounds like we will only have 8-10 people so a restaurant like Boulder Creek could accomodate us. Also on a Sunday night after a snow storm it shouldnt be crowded.
This might be our best option - some people might not be able to make a weekday meeting.
We should try and nail down the decision by midnight. By then we will have an idea how heavy the snow fall will be.
Any thoughts? --BIlly

Decision has been made (because otherwise we'll be deciding all night!) - meeting will be at 4 PM, still at Broadway Mall. Mall closes at 6, then we'll all go out for eats somewhere close.
It's a well conceived plan, however there is great risk. It's possible our cars may not be able to penetrate the snow at all, in which case we'll probably just cancel. But we'll see what happens in the morning!

You'll need it to direct traffic .MOVE ALONG. I concerned about everyones safety.
You sure you want to go on with the meeting? I wont be there cuz of work, but if its as bad as they say we might not open.

i won't be able to make this one guys. I don't think I should take the bike out with a foot of snow on the ground and my car hasn't been starting lately. I WAS going to take a look at it today.

Unless we can come up with about 10 Taun tauns for us it looks like the metting is cancelled.
A few of us including the CR, think we should cancel for the day. I'm waiting to hear from the President to confirm a cancellation.
Maybe we can reschedule it as an evening dinner meeting on Wednesday?
I'll be back with an official word. --Billy

I guess the president forgot. Basicly his remarks would be that the meeting is cancelled for a 4 Pm or a 6 PM start.
If we determined the roads are clear enough by 6 PM we may go out for dinner near the Broadway Mall at 8 PM, not an official meeting or anything. That also depends on if the restaurants are open.
We are going to look to reschedule the official meeting for the weekend or near the weekend of Comic Con.
That period of time seems to be the best for a majority of us to attend. --Billy

I didn't forget. I was waiting until I had something definitive to post about restaurants. Every restaurant that's open now (Boulder Creek, Ruby Tuesday's, Chili's Westbury) intends to remain open until their usual closing time (either 10 or 11 PM). However, every single one advised calling before we head over. I think chances are very good that finding an open restaurant won't be a problem.
Anyway, the plan as discussed at noon was to make a decision at 3 PM, which is about 45 minutes from now. If enough people are available and willing to brave the snow, we'll have a real meeting over dinner. Otherwise, we will do a dinner social event and try to reschedule the meeting as Billy said.
I'll post more sometime after 3 PM -- give me a bit of time talk to everyone on the phone (including the restaurants).

It seems like we're not going to have enough people for a meeting tonight. However, some of us still want to get together for a dinner social.
I propose Chili's in Westbury at 7:30 PM.
We should chat again at about 5:30 to make sure everything is going smoothly, but I don't expect any major changes to the plans.

Billy did lots of digging, and we still don't have the cars free. Our neighborhood is strange, though. We'll get a bunch of snow up here, and then once you get down the hill there's a lot less. My old job never used to believe me when I would tell them I was still snowed in.
You realize, of course, that a difference of only one week would have meant... DonnerCon II!
Although, it could snow again next week...
