Some interesting Jabba-related Kaboom news

Hey-
I got a phone call today from a Tom McLaughlin who saw that I'm doing "Kaboom: The History of Special Effects" in Hicksville on August 23. He had a pretty heavy stutter, but he wanted to ask if he could see the show (they're billing it as a Young Adult program there, but it's actually open to all ages)--and the reason he called was to find out if I work in special effects, because HE used to.
So I asked what he worked on and he claims he worked on Empire and Jedi, noting that he was part of "the Jabba build team." Pretty cool. Once he realized I wasn't going to hang up on him, he relaxed and the stutter pretty much went away.
Anyway, he plans to go check out the program and say 'hi' afterwards, so if anyone wants to meet someone who worked on those flicks--and 'Babe' apparently--you might want to mark that one on your calendar.
I hope the Hollywood gig went well--wish I could have made it!

BTW, Clive at Hollywood Video we had
a Boba Fett show up. It was another
good turn out. I'll send the photos
