The meeting is scheduled to coincide with our annual anniversary day trip To Montauk point. This is our 5th Anniversary.
For those who dont know; Montauk Point is the furthest eastern part of Long Island. The Lighthouse at the point is the lighthouse used in our club Logo.
Weather permitting: we will look at the weather Saturday night and assess if the trip will be cancelled. If we're still not sure, we may be able to decide at 10 am the next morning.
If the trip is cancelled, then we will have the meeting at our regular location: the Broadway Mall food court at 11 AM.

Don't forget to bring a light jacket, since it is colder near the water. Also, if you wish you may bring a lunch. They serve lunch, but it is expensive!
What time and where are we meeting anyway?

Were shooting for 1 PM at the snack bar / gift shop area but we can all be in touch by cell phone.
Remember, check the weather at 10 AM. If its raining or gbig bad strorm clouds are coming, check with everyone if this journey is still on. --Billy

Aug 23 Kaboom: The History of Special Effects at 7 PM in Hicksville at the Library. Expected special guest Tom McLaughlin to show up but he didn’t.
Aug 23 Six Flags trip
Aug 25 “The Bobba Q BBQ” hosted by our newest member Patrick. Great time, great food and drink and even some distant musical entertainment from a neighbor. Thanks Patrick.
Aug 30-Sept 3 Dragon*Con – The con of all cons. Incredible as usual. LOts of fun and AeroSith performed two shows and some of us performed skits on the masquerade stage.

--October 13, 2007 (tentative) Star Wars Day at Ronkonkoma Post Office with DB516 11 AM - 3 PM Celebrating the release of the Yoda stamp sheets at the Ronkonkoma Main Branch. As this date approaches, we haven’t had confirmation of it. Lead time is needed for proper advertising. Expect a decision on this the week of 9/19.
--10/6 Chiller Con Secaucus, NJ – Considering a weekend hang out if we can get a hotel room (rooms are all sold out). How many people can we cram into one room for the night?? We can hang some feet out the window.
-- Library costuming event attached to a video presentation at a location that is typically well attended. Program would consist of a Video presentation followed by the costumed characters introduced to the stage for some group photos and then meet and greet with the kids for a 20 minute session. This is in the very early planning stages.
--January/February 2008 “Hoth BBQ on Long Island at Cantiague Park” (date TBD after a snowfall)(Be sure to be on the mailing list for a last minute notification. If it snows, it means BBQ time!! ). Bring your Taun Tauns and watch for the Wampa. Are you crazies ready for an outside BBQ in the cold? (freezing weather permitting) “The first Burger is away!”
-- April 2008 I-Con 27 -- DB516 has been asked to host the Northeast region Fan Force awards at I-Con. We have accepted and are working out the details.
--Long Island Ducks Baseball game or other outdoor sporting event will be planned for next summer.
