I went this afternoon; 2nd year there. It was much better this year. Last year was wall to wall videogames, which I love games but I don't play so it was pretty lame. This year, lots more to it than just that. Booths for websites--ebay, friendster, etc.--as well as computer companies--all PC, no Apple (bummer)--HD DVD and other stuff. Games there for trying included LOTR online, a Halo booth and a billion different booths using Guitar Hero 3 to sell whatever it was they had. I scored about 4 or 5 free t-shirts only one or two of which I'd wear, but not bad. HP had a press conference where I got a killer laptop bag with shirts, a ski hat (?), etc.

Oh, and Star Wars content--the funniest thing at the show is a booth that has--get this--an R2D2 video projector. It's maybe 2 1/2 feet tall and it has a built in DVD player, so you pop in a disc and it will project it on to your wall or screen! They also have a lightsaber that's a Skype phone/PC videocamera, and a small R2 that does that too. They had a tiny Millennium Falcon that did something--a complicated remote control-type panel came out of the blue jets in the back--but I don't know what it did. Hy-freakin'-sterical.

I was there first time this year. I would go again next year for sure. There was a lot of gaming this time. It was pretty crazy though with the Tshirt thing. People were spazzing out and falling over each other everytime they tossed out a Tshirt. geeeez. I saw the R2 Thing too that was cool.. pricey, nercy and cool. wink

They had a cool toy guitar called powertour. Was kinda cool happy They also gave away a gibson guitar which we tried for and of course didnt win...... but it was fun sitting there on the edge of your seat while they pulled names out of a hat LOL oh well.... maybe next year happy

Food vendors were lacking. I paid 8.50 for a wilted brown salad. I didnt realise I could have walked outside across the street and bought a friggin hot dog for cheap until it was the last day and I had already eaten.. LOL figures.

At any rate I think I saw everything I needed to in one day however because of the crowds trying to get into doing some of the gaming took a long time.

We did do the Army demo and that was fun. They gave out a full version of the game when you were done. I was excited till I brought it home only to find out my system cant run it D'oh! doh!

Billy did try to get us together while we were in town but with a bunch of gaming teenagers it was tough for me to get away. I hope we can plan better for next year to hang out. happy
