Sorry, couldn't resist the obvious once I realized what number it was.  Anyway, I know it's a bit early, but I was wondering if the May meeting would be the first bbq of the season, because I was going to put it on our site. Would've brought it up at the last meeting, but I was getting paid to be somewhere else...

Concerning a BBQ meeting: I (Billy) who usually organizes the BBQ meetings will be away in May in Florida, so you guys can still do a BBQ.
I know the minutes from last Sundays meeting hasen't been posted yet from the secretary - but at the meeting we decided on a BBQ meeting for #67 on June 8, 2008 in Cantiague Park. --Billy

Hi everyone! I'm a newbie. I'm going to go through the orientation on this site.
just wanted to let you know:
There is a special on Harrison Ford--Hollywood Icon Saturday 8pm on AMC (I think it's AMC).
I can't make the meeting this Saturday. I have plans already for my birthday...do you post the notes online?

Saturday I can only be at the meeting from
11am to 1:45pm. I have to work (2 to close)
I had to pull teeth just to make appearance.
I say no on BBQ this month. Let's have in

Past Events ===
* April 18-20 NY Comic Con
Dan, Dana, Moriah, and Abhay attended.
There were lots of unannounced guests who happened to be really cool. Very little Star Wars stuff; this year was a lot more sci-fi oriented, though (Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, Ghost Hunters). Clive's panel was a good time. Most of us felt the convention was a good value if you made use of the weekend pass.
* April 26 I-CON DVD Viewing Party
We watched the Fan Awards and the AeroSith part of Masquerade at Rob's place. Next time we'll record our commentary as we watch the Fan Awards.
* May 3 SW Exhibit in Philadelphia
Dan, Dana, Abhay, Anu, Triss, Charles from DC attended. May and little Danae were also there, but we only managed to hang out with them for about ten minutes due to miscommunication.
We had yummy cheesesteaks at Geno's, then hung out at the museum for about four hours. We saw the main Star Wars exhibit, which we really enjoyed. Then we saw the Millennium Falcon attraction, which got mixed reviews at best. Some of us also walked through the rest of the museum.
* May 3 Chiller Convention in New Jersey
Chris, Billy, and Abhay attended.
Chiller Theater now has some panels. Live music made Chiller's evening festivities unique and lively, with a great crowd. We had a lot of fun.
Upcoming Events ===
* May 18 Sunday 2 PM at Book Revue in Huntington
Author Troy Denning will be signing his new Star Wars novel _Invincible_. Dan and Dana may attend.
* May 22 Thursday (or midnight the prior night) Indiana Jones 4
Some of us are going to watch this at Midnight at the Zeigfeld; others will catch a midnight showing on Long Island. People will discuss over email.
* June 14 Saturday at noon at Billy's place: Whotenanny #?
Event Planning ===
* Summer Excursion to Long Island wine country. We'll discuss at the next meeting.
* Clone Wars Movie opens August 15. We'll consider an event on Saturday the 16th. Our favorite theater doesn't yet know whether they'll be getting the movie. Abhay will continue to be in touch with them. He will also try to contact the other theater.
* Metropolitan Museum of Art is having a superhero costuming exhibit through the end of August. Most of us think the exhibit is pretty lame based on photos, but perhaps we can make this part of a fun day in the city.
* September Game Crazy/Game Stop for The Force Unleashed video game release. Consider Game Crazy in Massapequa (Hollywood Video) via Rob's friend. Consider Game Stop in Queens via Kenny's friend. Consider Best Buy via Dana. We will discuss this again next month.
* Clive's book will be released sometime in September. Is there a possible event?
* Montauk Club Anniversary Trip in September. Consider going somewhere closer given the rising price of fuel. Most of us are still enthusiastic about Montauk, though, suggesting car-pooling as a way to save money.
* Matthew Stover's new book _Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor_ will be released on October 21st. Consider a bookstore event -- Book Revue or Best Bargain Books or some other independent book retailer.
* Dark Horse will be releasing an omnibus collection _Luke Skywalker, Last Hope for the Galaxy_ in the Fall. Consider Amok Time in Levittown. This place is very large, a number of us shop there regularly, and Dana knows the owner. Moriah will try to find out the exact date; Dana will talk to Amok Time -- general stuff only.
* Conventions: Dragon*Con flights. Chiller Theater on Saturday, October 25. There's some talk of Faux Con, still in the planning stages.
Club Business ===
* Treasurer's Report
Same as last meeting.
* Marketing Document. Dan will work on it, but is still awaiting the sample from Clive and any other samples. Also need to watermark any photos we include.
* Upcoming Meetings
Meeting 67 Sunday June 8 -- probably an outdoor meeting at Cantiague Park.
Consider directly inviting: Mark Chewbacca, Patrick Boba Fett, Chris Vader, and Game Crazy Chris.
Meeting 68 Sunday July 13 -- conflicts with Shore Leave. Let's discuss over email.

They showed Voyage of the Damned on the big screen. It was shown about a half an hour before it aired. It also appeared to be a version that wasn't as heavily edited for time as they usually are.
