Ray Park Event - Long Island 9-20-08
|
Come see Ray Park (Darth Maul) do a martial arts demonstration and sign autographs at the Steiner Sports store in Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, Long Island on Saturday September 20, 2008 at 3 PM.
The event is being hosted by Docking Bay 516. Long Island DJ Ken Deep will MC the event. The NY Jedi lightsaber club will make an appearance to assist in the demonstartions.
This will be a fun event for all ages. Bring your lightsabers.

Wow what an event for DB516 this was!
It was at the Roosevelt Field Mall on Long Island, Our own Ken Deep (Long Island DJ) hosted the event. The NY Jedi opened up the festivities with some lightsaber demonstrations in the main concourse area of the mall. Ray came on next to a cheering packed crowd and talked a bit with Ken Deep about what he has been up to, including his recent role as 'Snake Eyes' in the new G.I. Joe Movie. Ray then mesmerized the crowd with some lightsaber twirling and martial arts moves.
Next Ray moved into the Steiner Sports collectible store to sign autographs and greet his fans.
DB516 stood outside the store in Star Wars costumes and posed for photos with passerbys, raising awareness of Ray Parks presence.
Thanks to Rob Kaos, DB516's event coordinator, for setting up a great event.
The night wasn't over yet. Ray Park and his manager joined DB516 at a local Mexican restaurant for dinner and drinks. Ray is just too cool.
Thanks to Ken Deep for setting that up for us.
I must mention that it was a pleasure to hang out with our newest club members Mark (Chewbacca), Isabelle, and Tashanna.

Hey, billy thankx.  It wasnt easy. There were a few bumps in the road. But overall I'm happy with the whole LONG day . I was hurting pretty bad yesterday morning  didnt even know If I would make it. But THE FORCE is strong with me!! Billy let us know when the video is done and we can have a video party at my place.Kenny Killer job  .Thankx to mark & Isabel for joining us.I'm off the work.Oh yes thankx to Clive for stopping by too!PLus I cant wait to see the Photos that Lenny took.

I'm really sorry that I missed the event. I took a ride out to Montauk but it took longer to get back than I expected due to traffic and having to go at slow speeds through the Hamptons. I still loved riding to Montauk as it was beautiful there and it was nice to see the lighthouse, hear about the history and go through the museum.
I hope I make the next event though.

Hey guys. Sorry it took me a long time to post. But just to let you know I had a great time! Thanks for taking me into the clan. I'm sure there'll be more fun times ahead! And going to dinner with Ray wasn't so bad either. lol!
