I put this up because I might not internet access in the next couple of days and I wanted to share something with my fellow FFers.
2006 was a pretty decent year for me. But one of the best things though was getting to know all you guys and those of other Fan Forces in S. Cal. I'd like to thank everyone for being a friend (esp. JV, VK, DB and JF for being very welcoming) and letting me know that I'm not alone being a geek in a concrete jungle. Thanks for all the memories this year as I celebrated 1 year as part of the group. I would like to extend my wishes and prayers to all of the LAFF for the new year.
Thank you everyone for the support, and I hope we keep on going not just as a group, but also as friends.
May the Force be with you all!

My own journey into this much larger world began only 7 months ago. Just like you, SJ, it's been a great ride. I finally found and got to know other "normal everyday folks" that are actually just as geeky as myself.. It's been wonderful and I feel so fortunate to have met everyone that I have so far and to have adopted you SJ!
My first real SW Fan Force experience was at the Unofficial SW day at DL. I ended up meeting a lot of you wonderful LAFF folks and had one of the best times I've ever had at Disneyland! It meant a lot how I was completly accepted. No questions asked. So, to those of you who met me that day, my special thanks! You're awesome!
My own son has just moved up to Oregon to try out living with his dad
(DB, he's in Hermiston. Know anybody over there that can harass his dad?
). To say the least, my world has changed dramatically! I know that a lot of my new found (and unwanted) free time will be spent geekin' out with my friends. I'm so thankful that I found my own and this FF. I know that without SW, this time in my life would be even more difficult.
Before I get all misty and have to pull out a tissue, I'll just say that this SW family has touched me tremendously.
God bless us every one!
PS
SJ, you still owe me lunch!

2006 was a great year, 2005 was probably bigger with the movie, CIII and the line at the Chinese for me, but 2006 was still great when it came to fandom. I have to thank DB for calling in September of last year tempting me with buying ST armor. This was my first year in the 501st and it has expanded my fandom to include a whole new set of people and has given me other great opportunities like the one I'm participating in now. However I wouldn't be anywhere had it not been for me joining the LA Fan Force back in April of 2004. I've enjoyed knowing each of you and have loved hanging out both in SW related and non SW related activities. So thanks for a great year and here's to another in 2007!

I may be abit quiet on the boards but it's been nice to meet everyone and the few events I've gone to. It's good to hang out with fellow geeks, and to just make new friends in general.
I got a new job, which I love and without the evil commutte. Life is good, and 2007 is looking better.
