Like you didn't know this was coming to this board? So, if I can get a few people who want to go see this at an IMAX or the Arclight, let's get a group thing going. Give me your thoughts so i can get a consensus as to who would like to go.

Here's a movie I've been waiting for... I read that Heath Ledger could land an Oscar Nod for his role in the Dark Knight. It's obvious that the Academy isn't all too keen on recognizing superhero movies unless it's about special effects or sound editing, etc., but this could be the baddest and most craziest Joker we've seen thus far. I hope he gets it b/c he was such a GREAT actor.
SJ, my sibs and I may be able to go. We want to watch it on IMAX. Please post time and place of event. Thanks!

For stuff like this, now that the Chinese doesn't show movies, I tend to go Village. Did that for Indy and it was great.

LB, what's "Village?" (A local movie theatre, sure, but where, etc.) Yes, I Googled it, scrolled down three pages and still couldn't find it.

The Village is a one-screen theatre in Westwood. One of the remaining nice theatres in L.A.
Its a Mann theatre and has held up where the Chinese hasn't.

LB, I've been to the Westwood Village for a screening of Robotech:Shadow Chronicles when it came out. It is a very nice intimate theater.
JM, per our conversation, if we agree on the IMAX, there's the one in City Walk with showtimes of: 12:30p, 4p, 7:30p, 11p
Then there's the IMAX at The Bridge near GF's house with showtimes of: 12:15pm, 3:30pm, 6:45pm, 10:10pm
Both times are on Saturday the 19th
If we're gonna do IMAX we need to vote on which time and agree on Saturday so we can get tix before they sell out, and they WILL sell out seeing as this is going to be the year's hottest film. So JM and sisters, don't wait till the last minute and be indecisive.
We all need to decide ASAP. Even if we don't do IMAX, we need to decide on which theater and time because we all know this movie will sell out FAST.

Wow! I know where the Village is. It's near the holy of holies, DSW! Well, I'll vote for the Bridge or the Village. Both are nice theatres, have ample parking, decent places to dine nearby, and not too far from where I live.

No matter where it is, I will find a way to get there, so count me in wherever you guys go. Sherman Oaks Arclight is once again the best for me, but if it's hard for others, then don't worry about it.

I've never been to the Sherman Oaks Arclight and GF, Mary & I have free passes from the Hollywood fiasco, and it's really almost as close as the Bridge to me. So that's OK with me, too.

My sibs and I have confirmed. Oh, and we're not indecisive bc this is a movie we've been waiting for all year long besides Indy and Clone Wars, of course. So please post the times so we can purchase our tickets on-line. Does the Arc Light at Sherman Oaks have assigned seating? If so, then we should all purchase our tickets together.

Here are Saturday's show times for Arclight Sherman Oaks: 10:15AM 1:35PM 5:00PM 8:30PM 11:55PM
I need a DEFINITE vote. Meaning, no "I'm cool with whatever", I ask that everyone vote on a specific time so there's no hold ups. Remember, THIS MOVIE WILL SELL OUT. The longer we wait, the less likely we'll get tix. Also, whoever is going, we need to get together, pool money or buy tix at the same time so we can get seats next to each other.
So please, I need votes ASAP. Thanks
