Sorry about the lack of response to those who emailed me, my roommate seems to enjoy looking at webpages which cripple my computer...
On to business.
OVW will be putting on a fundraiser for the victims of Katrina, and donating everything to the Red Cross. The fundraiser will be Saturday, Oct 1st at the Davis Arena. Admission is "free" but we're taking the suggested donation of $10 per person at the door. There will be some pretty neat memorabilia available in the raffle, as well as unique photos, and autographs.
Davis Arena is located at:
4400 Shepherdsville Rd
Louisville, KY
Doors open at 6:30pm
Belltime is 7:30pm
any other questions, you can email me at:
mattmartlaro@ovwrestling.com
and hopefully, I'll be able to use this infernal machine

That's cool, that might actually be a good night to go.
Even if there's no ObiMatt Kenobi wrestling.

*bizump*
Just a reminder, tonight is the fundraiser for Hurricane Katrina at the OVW Arena.
Davis Arena
4400 Shepherdsville Rd
Louisville, KY
(502) 473-0660
Doors open at 6:30
Belltime is 7:30
Admission is a $10 donation.
Keep in mind that EVERYTHING we make tonight will go to the Red Cross. And though Obi-Matt isn't going to stink up the ring, there will be a very fun night of action (even if you don't really enjoy wrestling).
For any other questions/directions, you can call me at (502) 759-7665.
Hope to see you there!

That sounds like a really cool event, and a great way to help raise $ for the Red Cross!
Good Luck!

Yeah, missed out is a pretty good description... there was a tremendous show, with matches and wrestlers that you just can't see anywhere else right now.
All in all, we had about 85 paid, and ended up making just a bit over $1000 for the Red Cross.
Kind of disappointing, as we usually fill up the arena every week with 300+ people, but at least we're able to give something.

I actually got to go to Alabama in Sept for a week to help with Katrina relief. It was awesome but left a bad taste in my mouth for the red cross. If you want to know ask me about it sometime and I'll fill your ears full. Don't want to talk about it on here.
But anyway, it was one of the most rewarding things I've ever done and I'd love to go back and help some more!
