We should try to decide where and when so that we can give everyone ample opportunity to let their options be known.
A couple of things to consider when suggesting a place is that we definitely want to make it someplace centralized to everyone, and it should be free to get into the place.
I don't mind traveling a little, so location is no worry for me. The actual date may be, but we have time to iron all that out.
Let me know what you think.

I was hoping for Tuesday, July 15th. Due to my insane schedule, Tuesdays are my only day available right now. As for place, UofL is about as central there is so if someone can figure out somewhere near there to meet.

I dunno. I don't know how centralized U of L is to the East End of Louisville. I was thinking that Bardstown Road would be kind of a central location.ot too far for Shively, PRP, and South End people, but also not too far from the East End as well.

That sounds good to me, Impellizeri's is like 3 blocks from Eastern Parkway. Any thoughts??

nope.... but someone has to buy something lol.... but I have that covered... I am definitely getting a pizza from there. Been a while since I worked at one so I think I am ok to eat there again lol.

I'm wondering if we should make it during a weekend evening in order to give everyone a chance to get to a meeting. Most people at least have 1 weekend day/night off, and it may make it more difficult to have it during the weekdays. I'm not too comfortable suggesting this because it would take xan out of the meetings, but it should be convenient for the bulk of the group.
Any thoughts?

With my schedule it's a crapshoot either way. I think it would be nice to mix it up month to month-some weekend nights, some weekday nights-just so everyone has a chance to make a meeting every once in a while.
July 15th would work for me.
What's the parking situation at Impellazari's(sp?). My only complaint with Bardstown Road/the Highlands (and Frankfort Ave) is trying to find on street parking. Although it wouldn't be near as bad on a weekday as it would be on a weekend.

It has been a while since I have been over to the Bardstown rd location, but I THINK they have parking out front but don't quote me on that one

I was in that area last night after a Bats game and saw it in a different location, so either they've moved or now have two Bardstown spots (unlikely).
As far as the Tuesday meeting time, I do think it's pretty important for Xanatos to be there considering the whole point of these first couple meetings is just planning stuff. If the group gets bigger and becomes more activity-oriented then it will make sense to base the times on what is convenient for the largest number of people.
Not that it's being discussed in this thread but I think my wife and I would have an easier time getting to the movie on Friday night, the time Xanatos was discussing.
