February Meeting
Time to start thinking about the February meeting. Since Fanboys may be delayed (if ever) in this area we should make other plans. It was mentioned that a Star Wars trivia/game night would be fun. I think this might work better at someone's house where we can be as lively as we want to be. I'm happy to open my home or if someone else wants to host that would be fine. Or we could do our regular pizzaria meet. January was lots of fun. I don't think we've been to Bearnos yet. Any thoughts?

Wherever is fine with me, my apartment is a little too small for me to host anything. So wherever it will be, count me in. I'm sure somebody else in the council has star wars trivial pursuit, but just in case I also have it. The newest one with the dvds....

Wow!! What a headache we've had up in the hills! The ice brought down so many of the trees that line the roads back here, we would still be dead locked if we hadn't of taken matters into our own hands.
This was the worst case of neglect I've seen yet in Bullit County. We didn't even see any road crews until this past Monday, a full week after the event. People immediately got out the day after it quit snowing, and began plowing the roads. Many of the men back here, including our dear Commander Appo, broke out the chain saws and began clearing the MANY fallen trees and branches off the roads. It took two days to clear the roads enough to get out of here... no thanks to Bullit County Road Crews. Who needs them anyway. I've always said that if you wait for any government body to come get you, you'd better have a lot of provisions and a very forgiving boss.
Of coarse we lost electricity from the Monday night of the storm till yesterday. Our phone was out also, so we were not able to get in contact via our e-mail.
We're finally back on the grid, so all is well that ends well. I know all of you must have your stories to tell about our recent disaster.
Well, to top it all off, Appo has been activated for this disaster, so he's been a very busy Trooper of late. He is coming home every night, he hasn't been sent anywhere else in the Empire, so that's a plus for us. >;~)
About the Trivia Night, it sounds WONDERFUL! I don't know when the Empire is going to let Appo off special duty, so I can't offer our home for the fun just yet. He is needing his beauty sleep when he can get it.
BUT.... is the Dodge Ball still on for tonight? I seen a thread from Cunger before I opened this one, so I'll close this one up, and go see what it says. Hope to see everyone soon, and I hope the Force was with you all threw the storm. Its good to be back on line. Whew!!!

After posting about Februarys' meeting in the wrong thread, I thought I'd better bounce over here to the appropriate one for doing that. So, I have a nice sized kitchen table to host a Trivia game on, but I'm not sure if it will be possible for us to host this month. As we all probably know by now due to my other posts, Appo is pulling emergency duty for us, and will be going in everyday until he is released. If we don't have it this month, Appo and I can host for March for sure... Barring any unforeseen plans by Mother nature. >;~)

Okay, that sounds like a plan. For February let's say Tuesday Feb 24th since we met late last month and we'll try for a Tuesday so more people can make it. Let's say pizza night. We haven't been to Bearno's yet. Shall we try that? They have several locations across Louisville. Does anyone have a favorite?

Pizza night sounds lovely, and we're open for a location. We're pretty much centrally located and anywhere is about the same distance as anywhere. LOL!! On the other note, Appo and I will host Trivia night in March.... I'll be in touch with the date and arrival time when I have a chance to look at the calendar for my hubbies March weekend drill schedule. I'm thinking about ordering pizza out, and supplying a few finger foods. Who had the Star Wars trivia game? Master Jai-Rew? I'll start a thread on all of this the first of March... so till then, February pizza night it is. I really look forward to getting together with everyone for these Pizza nights!

I don't know about hurricanes, but I know a "Big Blow Hard" I could bring for ambiance. LOL!!! His name is Bane, and I've been trying to get him to show up for our eats out with no success. But in his defense, he is a very busy Sith, and his work schedule sucks.
