WOW! I just took a peek at the trailer, and.... WOW! Chills is right Mika! I'd get in on this too, no doubt of it, but we're on dial up here, we don't have access to anything else up in the hills in our area. And the cost of Satellite is out. So, as I sigh at the disappointment of not being able to play, you all have loads of excitement with it. I do expect everyone to tell, tell, tell about the game experience. Question: Who is the main angry Sith? He looks very much like Darth Vader, tho I don't think that's who he's supposed to be. batting "Z" >;~)

SO AMAZING!!!! That trailer has me hooked! I will definitely be into this.

Parts of the timeline: Treaty of Coruscant video reminded me of some of the things that have gone on in the Legacy comics and Outcast: Fate of the Jedi. Can't wait until this comes out and to learn more of the story!

Oh those kriffing Sith! shame_on_you tongue

From the Rebel Legion site...

"In the middle of April, Southern California Garrison and Sunrider Base of the Rebel Legion were approached by Mary Franklin, representing Lucas Arts to take on a special project:

Developing more than 20 all new--never seen before--costumes from the new Star Wars MMO-- Star Wars: The Old Republic

We spent 6 weeks working from concept art, renders from LucasArts, and more to come up with four new costumes including Armored Jedi, Sith Lords, Armored Sith, and a new look for the Soft Jedi costumes.

All armor was sculpted from scratch, patterns were drafted from drawings, and many many hours were spent fitting, shaping, painting, sewing, and tweaking these outfits to make them look great!

For the past two days, we've been at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles going through rigorous rehearsals, and tonight--for the main event."

You all know I love me some costumes and jedi+armor = WIN. This is why I love being a member of the Rebel Legion (and someday the 501st), you get to do fun stuff like this. Of course I have nowhere the talent some of these other people have but it's still nice to be associated with them.

heres more pictures of the costumes up close, great stuff...now I just need to find someone to sell me some...

Wow Mika, those two groups are indeed awesome! I can see you among them for sure. Your looking for someone to sell you a costume, and we're looking for the money to purchase some costumes. LOL!!!! Has there ever been such a fan base for any movie, ever? (I don't think so) I don't think even Star Trek could boast of such a following. Close maybe, but no. I've done some thinking about the attraction of the whole Star Wars phenomena. What "is" the over whelming allure? I think it lies within our primal brains understanding of how things work.... the whole dark verses light concept, destruction verses creation. That you can not have one without the other, otherwise... creation ceases to happen. The destructive force, paving the way for the constructive force. We see it happening threw out our universe. The unstoppable force, meeting the immovable object. This war will continue forever, neither one right or wrong, just being what it is. That is where the "Dark Jedi" come in. They represnet the gray area where things are balanced and life thrives. Mixed into all of that primal inner reality, you have the human dramas playing themselves out within romances, sorrows, joys, and devastation. Yea, I picked it apart, and now you all know how my little brain works. wink Anything that gets "my" attention the way this has, and it has from the very first movie, is warranted of my utmost scrutiny. At any rate, I know I just love it to pieces! batting >;~)

Nice, I like to consider myself a "Dark Jedi". More rebellious than the average jedi, it's following the rules that I have a problem with(lol).

After seeing the presentation from E3 on G4 when they announced the old republic mmo, and seeing the jedi in what kind of looked like mando armor(in a way), I had somewhat of an epiphany. Mixing the two, jedi robes with mando armor! I already have the standard mando armor, it may be time to buy some plastic garbage cans and do a little cutting...

I had downloaded the cinematic for an hour the other day, just enough to see about a quarter of the sequence. Last night, I down loaded the whole thing.... took about 2 and half hours. Then Appo and I came in here and watched it together, and we watched it together, then we watched it together, then we...... about 10 run threws later, we began stopping it at points where the action moved so fast, it was hard to catch what had just happened. We wanted to get it all, because down loading it again, well, uh-uh. hypnotized Dial up BITES. Anyway, after about what turned into 20 run throughs, all we can say is that we sat here totally in awe of it all. WOW!!!! I loved the emotions evoked, and they never lessened, no matter how many times we sat threw it. It always sucks to see a Sith run a Jedi threw. But when the Sith are getting their Shabs kicked, I always hate that too. I can't seem to lose for winning. That needs to be made into a movie in the most desperately possible way. There isn't enough of it. I said it earlier, and I say it again. This Lord Angar is an incredible Sith Lord, no doubt of it. The main Jedi in the sequence that he bested.... hmmmm. I'll be surprised if in the game, he doesn't live threw that encounter, saved by the healing powers of the force or something, and comes back to fight Lord Angar threw the game. batting "Z" >;~)

Hey Guys and Gals, I found the following on Wookiepedia. If the main Sith Lord is Lord Angral, [whom I spelled his name wrong in my earlier post.. oopsies]. Then the main Jedi Master could be Jedi Master Orgus Din???? That's provided this game is following the battle described below. batting

Information from the following URL:
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Angral

"This is our moment. Channel your fury. Destroy our enemies!"
?Angral, during the Sacking of Coruscant[src]
Lord Angral was a male Sith Lord serving the Sith Empire during the time of the Great Galactic War. Lord Angral was in command of the fleet that sacked Coruscant in 3,653 BBY. After destroying Orbital Security Station Six, he landed on the surface near the Galactic Senate Building, where he was greeted by Jedi Master Orgus Din, who engaged him in combat. Angral quickly took the upper hand but Din escaped with his life after the duel was interrupted by a crashing Sith spacecraft. Angral then stormed the Senate and attacked the Chancellor. His attack forced the Republic diplomats on Alderaan to submit to the Sith's demands, and the Treaty of Coruscant was signed.
Angral returned to Korriban after the treaty's signing. Angral was furious with Baras, the Dark Council's emmisary who had represented the Sith at the peace talks. Angral reasoned that if Baras hadn't ended the negotiations so quickly, he could've destroyed all the Jedi on Coruscant. Baras responded by saying he was following their emperor's orders, and blasted Angral with Force Lightning, forcing him into submission. Angral said he wouldn't hesitate the next time he had a chance to destroy the Jedi and Republic, regardless of orders. Baras simply told him he'd never get another chance to do so.
After his confrontation with Baras, Angral traveled to a business meeting in the Star Cluster Casino on Nar Shaddaa to make an offer.

POWERS AND ABILITIES:
Angral was skilled in lightsaber combat, as well as his knowledge of the Force, being able to quickly defeat Jedi Master Orgus Din. He later attacked Baras, after Baras had consulted the Dark Council, only to be quickly overpowered.

APPEARANCES:
Star Wars: The Old Republic, Threat of Peace Act 1: Treaty of Coruscant
