Depending on what you already have, you may not need to. TOR is designed to work on a wide variety of machines. I'll willing to bet all you'd need is a mid-level GPU, a 2.4GHZ processor, a gig of RAM, and a broadband connection.

Well, my computer is the height of technology...from 2002...using a 1997 monitor...with only 512 k of RAM.

I am in major need of an update and a new Star Wars MMO would be a good enough excuse to get one! Ha!

Hehehe, fair enough. I know a guy over in New Albany, owns a shop- builds PCs. he built mine, cheap, and it's been running strong for 3 years now. If you're looking for good, affordable, and dependable PCs, I can give you his number.

He has a system for sale now, that is like mine (dual core, 2G RAM, ATIx600 Pro GPU, etc). Said he's trying to sell it for 400 or so.

I say to sanyone who needs a new PC(like Cungr) to jump on this offer. From the specs, it sounds like a good deal.

Sounds like a deal Ki-Adi-Mundi. However, I have to be patient right now with everything going on. How about I get back with you in a couple months and have your friend requote me?

Hey, quick question, SWTOR-related. I run a site, dedicated to it. Is it ok if I post a link to it here?

Awesome happy

The site is http://www.forumsoftheoldrepublic.com

Since everyone here is a Star Wars fan, I would like you all to check it out, and provide feedback on it- does it look like a SWTOR forum should, in your opinion? Is it easy to navigate around? Etc. Of course, I think all positives about it, but I'm partial. I'd like an unbiased opinion, if you all don't mind.

The site looks great! It is easily navigable, Looks good, and pretty straight forward. Th only thing I can see that you might want to change is to have the register button on the far left instead of the far right... You want them to see that most of all so people will register. I will be doing do later today when I have more time happy

Okay from what I have read from the interviews of Comic-con 09 and others the makers of SWTOR are making the gameplay similar to the Tank, DPS, Healer formula as World of Warcraft without directly eluding to it. I have seen that many people have posted that this will be their first MMO so I will be coming up with a l33t-speak (internet) dictionary here in the next couple of days so they will know what they are up against in the future lol. I have also changed my mind as far as what faction I will be. It looks like now my main character will be a Sith and my alt (alternate) character will be Jedi for me to get the story from that perspective as well. I wish they would come up with a release date tho.

While I will be playing this game, I am definitely going to wait until I get the full picture before making a decision on faction and class.

From first looks, it appears that each class will have a unique story line, so I may want to try and play them all wink

With games like this, I always start out as a jedi. It should be out soon(hopefully). The only thing I can say is "Patience, you must learn patience"lol...

SWEET Xanatos, Sith all the way, like I said earlier me and a couple friends are making a Sith guild so you're in if you want the spot. We ALL definitly need to make sure we get on the same server so we can play together though.
