That's so good to hear from both of you. I was hoping you all would like him, or at least respect him. I, really like Thrawn.

Actually, I liked him so much that I sent him a note saying so. Unfortunatly, I drew some fan art on the cover of the home-made card. Well, you know how that went! He studied my drawing, figured out my personal strengths and weaknesses, and plotted my utter destruction.

So.

That kinda backfired on me.

Ohhhh.... a creepy crawly synopsis of our book for December:

Death Troopers is scheduled to hit retail bookstore shelves on October 13th.

Synopsis:

When the Imperial prison barge Purge–temporary home to five hundred of the galaxy’s most ruthless killers, rebels, scoundrels, and thieves–breaks down in a distant, uninhabited part of space, its only hope appears to lie with a Star Destroyer found drifting, derelict, and seemingly abandoned. But when a boarding party from the Purge is sent to scavenge for parts, only half of them come back–bringing with them a horrific disease so lethal that within hours nearly all aboard the Purge die in ways too hideous to imagine.

And death is only the beginning.

The Purge’s half-dozen survivors–two teenage brothers, a sadistic captain of the guards, a couple of rogue smugglers, and the chief medical officer, the lone woman on board–will do whatever it takes to stay alive. But nothing can prepare them for what lies waiting aboard the Star Destroyer amid its vast creaking emptiness that isn’t really empty at all. For the dead are rising: soulless, unstoppable, and unspeakably hungry.

Looks to be the scariest Star Wars product since the Holiday Special!

Sideshow is coming out with 2 new figures of our beloved Thrawn. I have to say I definitely like their version of the ysalamiri, it is a little more of how I envisioned it.

These are still just the prototypes:

Agreed. I am so glad you liked it Kyp! I bet The Last Command will be just as fun. Plus, for you, you get to see the stars of the NJO before they were full fledged Jedi.

Oooh, Appo and I get to see the NJO before they were full Jedi too! Who's the NJO? LOL! Don't worry, just some comic relief. We know who they are... The New Jedi Order. Right? wink And we are loving the Thrawn series also. But we're just now finishing the first book! We're going to crash read the next two, but not so fast that we miss anything. batting

Again, so glad at the positive responce!

Just an FYI: the Thrawn goodness doesn't have to end for you after the Last Command. Zahn wrote a number of short stories for The Star Wars Adventure Journal that have been reprinted in the paperback Tales of the Empire and Tales of the New Republic-- so you all may want to check them out (Thrawn v. Boba Fett anyone?).

Zahn also expaned on Outbound Flight, with a book called, Outbound Flight-- staring ol Red Eyes. The Hand of Thrawn books are good too, wrapping up the GFFA stories before the Vong onslaught. And the blue guy shows up in other books set in the Rebellion and New Republic Era as well. I really liked his cameo in the book Tatooine Ghost so much I made a dio out of it:
