So Im reading the NJO series for the first time and I was looking at the book list trying to see what book is next and it said "Recovery*". I looked at what the star meant and it said it was an e-book, along with "Ylesia", so basically what I am getting at here is, for those of you who have read the series. Did you all get the e-books? Are they essential to the story? Im really bummed about this because I dont wanna be stuck at my computer reading, thats what I love about books, they are portable.

Recovery is in the beginning of the paperback version of Star by Star and is basically an eight chapter prologue for that story. And Ylesia you can find in the back of the paperback of The Joiner King, the first book of the Dark Nest Trilogy that happens a few years after NJO. I hope that helps happy . How are you liking the series so far?

Hi Kyp!

I think the E-books were reprinted in paperback versions of some of the hardbacks, so with a little detective work you could probably find them in good ol fashioned print.

However, to answer your question: no. I never read them when I read all 22 books of the NJO. I beleive the plot points were related in the eposition of the novels anyway. Similar to the RC ebooks-- they realy didn't deal with the main plot, just side adventures.

I thought I was a SW fan until I read that and had no idea what it meant.

If you want the full experience, then I definitely suggest you read them. But, I will also back up Jammies. They are not essential to read.

If you want to read them, then I suggest going to Half Price Books or other used book store to see if they have the paperbacks that 11-11 mentioned.

"No, General. I'm not your subordinate. And what I'm coming dangerously close to is violence."

Speaking of the Joiner King:

I had to "Flow Walk" to work today. Jeez!

I loved this series. Sure, it was long and cumbersome in some spots, but it was a great set of stories. It really starts getting good near the end, but I won't spoil anything for you.
