Current Poll Results:
50%
  Outbound Flight (4 votes)
0%
Han Solo at Star's End (0 votes)
0%
  Darksaber (0 votes)
12%
Tales of the Cantina (1 votes)
37%
  Imperial Commando 1 (3 votes)
0%
  Other (explain) (0 votes)
Total Votes: 8 (Days Left: -32)

Outbound Flight: Want to learn more about antebellum GFFA, but also want more Thrawn? Read about the doomed mission first mentioned in 1992.

Han Solo at Stars End: Old school EU ladies and gentle beings! Still, the second Star Wars EU novel is still one of the best!

Darksaber: Not the best EU book ever, but could spark some fun conversation. As a plus, it does include plot lines dropped until the Legacy books and features a young Kyp (If I remember that right).

Tales of the Mos Esly Cantina: a short story anthology! You can just read one story and still participate in the discussion. If you are lazy, this one is for you!

Imperial Commandos 1: one may need to read the first 5 RC books first, not sure. As this one was 2nd in the last poll, I am running it again.

Feel free to post any ideas-- you all may have a better one than me.

"The Glove of Darth Vader was a Mandalorian Crushgaunt fitted around one of Lord Kaan's indestructible Sith Amulets."
I thought I was a SW fan until I read that and had no idea what it meant.

Outbound Flight is good but I'm going to have to go with Imperial Commando just because I know I'm going to read it anyway.

Sithspit, a tie! And not TIE tie, but a tie.

What do we do, have a run off election, or do I just use my powers and pick one?

We could say read both since we only meet every other month. Or pick the one you're most interested in and read that but have discussions for both books in Feb?

Come on Mika everyone knows you're supposed to make a new thread for every benchmark post. It's netiquette.

Also, Jammies, Mika's ideas seem good. But use of your newfound dark powers could be entertaining as well. My only quibble: since you are a Sith for the purposes of this club wouldn't they say something like "Jedipiss" instead?

Or just let you mouse arrow/pointer hover over the skulls/stars

Jammies, thinking about it Barnes and Noble would probably prefer a single book/choice. So feel free to use your Sith powers, it will only take you that much further down the path of destruction.

The Book for December will be Deathtroopers, and the book for Febuary will be Outbound Flight. I figure, those who want to read the Travis book will do so anyway, and any newbies may be overwelmed by a 6 part book cycle.

Also, somehow the poll changed to Outbound Flight anyway.

So, sit back, and read a tale of the pre-clone wars; of a padawan named Skywalker, a mad jedi, a currupt government, and a blue eyed chiss who will stop at nothing to protect his people-- even if it means violating his people's laws. Dun dun dun!

Oh, and a bunch of Dreadnoughts all ductaped together.

Anyone having issues with finding the book, or who need an accesable text-- as allways just PM me.

Yeah, I'm 75% done with Imperial Commando and while I think it's great I think it would not be a good book for a shiny (or newbie).
