Here are the directions to create a board banner. Keep in mind that the images must be hosted by the FanForce group and not tF.n. AuctionWatch offers free image hosting. Let us know what you come up with.

1 : Customizing Images for your FanForce Board
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Every FanForce chapter is allowed and has the capability of creating their own customized banners for their local FanForce board. The entire banner concept is created of 4 images. The main banner image (or the foreground image), the background image (that sits behind your foreground image), the curve image and the side image. Each of these have their own custom dimensions.
Default Graphic Dimensions for the Banner System
Main banner image (foreground)- 764 x 110
Main Background image - 764 x 110
Curve image - 69 x 69
Side Bar image - 32 x 465
The only image that will keep the board in the same shape and not affect anything if you stretch the width out is the Main Background Image. Remember, though - creating a wider image will create slow loading times for your board.
Here are examples of each, taken off of the current Jedi Council banners created by Lord Mauly Mall --
Main banner image
Main Background image
Curve image
Side Bar image
A few other things to remember -- try testing out your board. You can do this by saving your board to your hard drive (in Microsoft Internet Explorer, File > Save As) and then editing the image values in the code (see example 1).
Example 1 - Editing the board code for images

-- Remember, though, that you have 3 images, and that they will be named accordingly to their spaces. In descending order in the code, you have your background image, main image, sidebar image and then your curve image. If you do not know what you're doing, please ask for assistance
Other Images that May Be Customized
Besides the banner scheme, you can also customize the images that appear besides the IGN ads and the Reply image that is shown of the "reply to thread" page. Customizing these images can give your board a total look of it's own, especially if you change the colour schematics.
Adholder Images (The right adholder image)
These images are 74x58 in size. Remember, there is one to the right and the left. If you're going to angle them, angle them appropriately
Reply Image
This image is 437x88 in size. It may be customized and only appears when someone replies to a topic on a thread in your FanForce board.

I can only suggest looking around at some of the other fanforce forums and get an idea of what they have. Original ideas would be welcome but everyone seems to have things shored up with either images from events or just a big logo banner.
Personally I would like to see some images from meetings, events, etc. We WERE on the main page at SW.com (once upon a time). Mix that in with a little of the "Flaming Clone" image, something from "Speeder," and a shnazzy MACON CLONES logo. . .
I wouldn't worry about color coordinating it. We can change the colors of the forum to match whatever is splashed up there.
I would suggest posting any ideas (read: completed examples) in Club Clone at the Comm Center just to see what everyone else thinks.

That's what I had in mind. Throwing in pics from the fanfilm, events, etc. I have a wicked picture of Lynn in his Jedi attire. I could put a couple of clones behind him. Once I compile the pictures, then I can change the hues as needed. However I would get away from the "peach" color scheme.

I would like to see something that represents the middle Georgia region though.
How about a giant turd? or a black hole?
Seriously. Maybe a peach or a Cherry Blossom or the Macon skyline(  ) or what?

Yeah, i'm gonna need a "background" shot anyway. The Macon Skyline sounds like good idea, or some kind of landmark in Macon.
I was also thinking of including pictures of the officers or the founders on the side bar.

Does SWFFA = Star Wars Fan Film Awards?
If so, I would recommend that it NOT be included. The "Speeder" title logo should cover us, maybe with a behind the scenes pic to go with it.
How's it coming otherwise?
