Out & About in August

OK, there had been some discussion about having our next meeting in August.
Also mentioned was how busy August would be. People getting in their last minute vacations before the school year starts is one of the biggest concerns that I have noticed.
So, we have a choice.
1. Either we meet again near the beginning of the month.
2. Meet during a week night
3. Skip August this time around.
Even though I would like a repeat of our last meeting, I would consider #3, since if we did have a meeting, only a few of us would be able to attend. And we know the more the merrier. I'd still be open for #2, as long as it was either Monday or Wednesday at around 5pm or later.
Anyway, I figured we could discuss this here instead of in the July Meeting topic.

I would be open for a monday or wednesday but we would have to plan it now so I could take off since my work schedule every week is monday wednesday 5-10 lol. So not the best night usually but if I know right now and we plan it it could work. The beginning of the month isnt good either since we are going up to a cabin around the first, and then wizard world is that weekend on the 6th. So anytime after the 6th up until the 17th I am free if you let me know in advance to take off work. So I am going with 2 preferably but maybe 3 if I just cant do it this time.

Well I had a change of plans and will be staying in town.
So if we were to have a get together this week I would be up for it
I will be up at the Mall or Boarders on Tuesday to pick up the new book

For what it is worth, a weeknight would really work out for me. I can simply take the bus from the square, and then only have two buses to ride to get home.

Well Tuesday is a bit of short notice but as I said I'll be down at the mall/Boarders area anyway Tuesday.
As far as I can tell Wednesday, Thursday and Friday would all work
With Thursday and Friday I'd be able to review the new Star Wars Book

We are talking AUGUST, right? It's still July this week, so nothing should be too short of notice, I think.
How about August 9th, Tuesday at 5pm?
Do we want Borders again, or somewhere else?

I can't stay too late because I have other things I need to do Tuesdays after 7pm. I'd hate to have a short short meeting, unless we plan more than one meeting this month.
I picked that date for two reasons.
Brent has work Mon. and Wed. & he can tell us about the convention from the weekend before.
Of course, another day and time could be picked if everyone wants to.

So Tuesday, August 9th at 5:30pm is the day and time agreed upon.
We just don't have a location yet.
Or do we?
I guess we could make a return appearance to Borders.
Maybe we can get the sofa area in the sci-fi section this time.

Me thinks Jon don't like us anymore.
Where did we leave off with our last meeting? I was thinking we could pick up from there, because I think we still had a lot to talk about.
I'll be in Borders at 5:30pm on the 9th. Be sure to check the science fiction section to see if the couches are free for us. If they are, you might find me there. Otherwise we might need to pull a couple tables together.
What topics did you fine people wish to discuss?
I know that Eric just announced FilmCon 5 for this autumn. November to be exact. I guess we could talk about that.
Oh yeah, Brent is supposed to supply us with lots of detailed stories of Wizard World, and pictures too, if he gets any.
Anything else???
