This shall be my first stab at an actual organized get-together for Western Marylanders--
As there are only 100 days left until the opening of ROTS, I'd like to try to get a small group together to see the midnight showing at Garrett 8 Cinemas at Deep Creek Lake. For the past two prequels, Garrett 8 has done the midnight showing--but I will be calling to check with the owner to see if he will be doing this again.
Garrett 8 Cinemas is located on Garrett Highway/Route 219 just south of the bridge and across from "Arrowhead." It's about five minutes from the Wisp Ski Resort Area.

Count me in! That's where we also saw the last two prequels so hubby and I will definitely be there. For the last two we ordered tickets in advance, then got there about 10pm and were almost the first in line.

YAY! Awesome
I'm sure the owner will be doing the midnight showing again.
Perhaps we could all get together for dinner at Uno's first? Or somewhere where we could reserve an area of the restaurant?
and I will see if we can set up a table at the theatre before the show to pass out flyers for the Fan Force.

I'm glad you started this thread because it brings up a section we should have on the website where we list the theatres the different sections of MDFF are seeing Ep3.
Also, we could post links to the different threads. As the date gets closer, I think I could set up the different threads to be sticky that way new visitors can say where they'll be going.

I will start promoting this about a month before the opening locally...
I will get in touch with the theatre owner before that. He's typically a grouchy chap, but I am sure he won't mind the business.

Sure, but when I talked to the theater last week they said they can't promise the midnight show. Something about not knowing until a week or two before if they will have the film in time. Which makes it hard because AMC is already selling tickets (although I'd way rather see it at Garrett). Maybe if we both keep bugging them we can find out sooner?

It's official- they're having a 12:01 show and a 12:06 show. Tickets are on sale now, we got them for the 12:01. We're planning on getting there around 10pm (myself, hubby, and another couple). We're thinking of maybe going to Uno's beforehand, it depends on what time the other two get off work.

I will have to work that evening until 11 PM, so I will head over to the showing after work. Should I buy a ticket in advance?
It would be nice to make some informal flyers about Fan Force so we could get more Western MD'ers to join. What do you think?
