Did anyone else get eaten by a giant puddle today? Or burrow through a giant mound of snow to get on/off the bus or even just to cross the street? How I love being a pedestrian.

Nope, just way too much shoveling. I hate shoveling. I hope we have a few days above freezing soon, I've run out of places to put the snow.

Yes indeed.... what Mike said!
I had a horrible time of it yesterday. I have a bumm ankle anyway - you know, the kind that gives out whenever it feels like it. Well, I twisted it on a chuck of snow/ice and fell while shoveling. I got up, continued clearing the driveway and had it go again...
The second time though, I thought I had broken it because it hurt so very bad.

Just had to share...
This morning, K2 decided on why we've gotten so much snow already....
It's apparently because Mother Nature finally found last season's snow and had to get rid of it to make room for this season's snow.
Makes perfect sense to me!
Have a great day....

c'mon Aaron no Massachusetts love for our teams?
I know you are a hardcore Raiders fan but a little local love couldn't hurt.
Good to see you posting again.
On a note my basement got flooded last night with about 5 inches of water.
I had a box of old comics that got ruined and some collectibles that are ruined also.
my landlord said the water should get turned back on today.

Ugh. Sorry to hear that Chris. I can only imagine how bummed out you must be feeling. Hopefully the losses were not too bad.

Ugh... sorry to hear about your troubles, Chris.
I had a similiar situation in the spring but, that was only 2" and I didn't lose anything terribly important (luckily the computer wasn't effected).

I just saw something on PBS about Theodore Geisel. You might know him as Dr Seuss. He wrote something about two weeks before his death in 1991. An associate asked him if there was anything he might have left unsaid. He wrote:
“Any message or slogan? Whenever things go a bit sour in a job I'm doing, I always tell myself, 'you can do better than this.' The best slogan I can think of to leave with the kids of the U.S.A. would be 'We can ... and we've got to ... do better than this.” He then crossed out "the kids of" to make it a message not just to kids, but to the whole of the American people.
