Hey everyone,
I am having my second annual Labor Day weekend cookout.
I have decided to extend it this year from Saturday the 2nd to Monday the 4th.
This way everyone has a chance to attend with three days of fun.
We will be having a whole bunch of food hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage, chicken and boca burgers for those who are vegetarians.
I will also have many snacks foods, (chips and dip, corn chips and salsa, cheese curls, popcorn, etc.) Cheese-crackers & pepperoni also.
We will also have many sides dishes like potato salad , macaroni salad, garden salad, etc.
Also plenty of adult beverages will be available.
If a game is on the T.V. it will be on so you won't miss anything.
I also have vintage Atari and Colecovision hooked up for your entertainment.
For the kids we will have goodie bags with all sorts of little toys and items to keep them busy and freeze pops are never in short supply.
I also have toys here for the kids to amuse themselves Legos,Star Wars, etc.
If anyone is interested, please let me know soon. This way we can make changes if needed.
And also so I know how many of you are coming and if you will be bringing a guest. I don't have a lot of parking on the street so try and carpool if possible, motorcycle are always welcome and encouraged.
If you get hungry again and you see no food ready just ask we will make more.The party does not stop until it stops. One year we went until 4:00 a.m.
It is not required but if you like to bring something to add to the cookout that is fine. I usually just tell everyone to bring themselves. But if you do bring something it will be greatly appreciated.
I live in Milford which is about 45-60 minutes southwest of Boston. I will supply directions later, and if you cannot get a ride, you can take the T Commuter Rail from South Station to Forge Park Station in Franklin.
I live 10-15 minutes by car and we can pick up people.
E-mail me, Private message me, and post to this thread so you can let me and everybody know your going and you can make arrangements with others.
And I will answer any questions you have.
If there is anything we should add or change let me know.

This was fun last year. Meeting the Jersey crew was cool and it was great to meet Jeff, Jim, and you for the first time. Not to forget Richie and Roseanna as well. Actually I think I met Wormie as well.
The date sounds like a good one my friend. I am however debating about going back to OH that weekend. My mom's b-day is the 4th and I usually go home for it. But since I am going to MN the weekend before I will probably stay home.
Let me know if you need anything Chris o wait I forgot I will have the ol' lady make the wings what was meesa thinking.

I'm probably good for that Sunday, anyway. There's the usual caveat of having someone pick me up @ the Forge Park commuter rail station, of course.

I'll be there. Not sure which days but I'll be there most of them. I may have a guest with me. I'll bring some kielbasa and some soda.

Well I need to get a new grill for the cookout...any suggestions?
I saw a grill at Target for $149 dollars.
Also start listing what you plan on bringing so we don't have too much or too little of anything else.

Now is probably a good time to be looking for grilles most places will be putting them on clearance soon.
I will bring the wings again and something else depending on what we need.

I'll be there at least one of the days.
As for grills, Chris your best bet may be to wait until the weekend of Aug. 12-13. That's the annual tax-free shopping weekend. Not only will it automatically save you a couple of bucks, but I'm sure places will be having sales that will knock a few more pesos of the total.
Are you looking at a charcoal grill or a gas one?

I saw a nice $200.00 Charbroil at Home Depot the same one at Lowes was 69 bucks more.
It is a gas grill.
I am going away that weekend and won't be back until Monday
I will figure something out.

I think I am all set chris. I know they sell my brand up there good ol' Molson Ice and XXX but I don't need it. Even though one sounds great right now. Tomorrow I go to a liver specialist to find out what is going on with my liver. I may not be able to drink anymore after this visit I do hope not though what would C4 be like if I can't have some fun. lol

Guys another thing I will need to know is what day(s) everyone plans on attending and what guests you are bringing along.
We will probably be discussing a few things at the cookout, such as the Super Mega Fest coming up in November, Celebration 4 , etc.

I will probably be there on Sat and Sun. Definitely on Sat may end up bringing the wife along.
This would definitely be a good time to discuss Megafeast and C4 planning. This may be about the only time we can get a full squad to show up for something. I may not go to Megafeast due to whenever the lil wookie wants to come out of his cocoon. He is scheduled for Nov 22nd, but could come any time between the 15th and the first couple weeks of Dec. lol
