Thanks Chris. My wife Stacy gave birth to our 1st son on Friday Nov 17th at 19:53. She was induced due to high blood pressure and protein in the urine. Lil Spencer Michael weighed in at 8 lbs 8 oz and was 21" in length.

Congrats, Jorge. I suppose much of your time away from work will now be spent taking care of the "lil' Wook". grin

Lil Spencer is doing well. He has been sleeping thru the night now for a few weeks probably close to three now. We finally figured out that swaddling him before putting him down would get him to sleep for longer than a couple hours. We definitely wished we started that earlier. lol

He was 3 months on Sat. He will start to go to a baby sitters house on Tuesday. My work kinda hosed up my plans of working at night so I can watch the lil one during the day. They claimed I couldn't do it unless I had someone with me and stuff like. Then when I asked to do a couple nights a week I had to write a letter blah blah blah. So I said screw it and now I am quietly looking for a job back into the IT world. The place I work at has changed so much since we moved that it isn't worth it any more.

Glad to here everything is going well. I'll have to watch this thread to see what I should be expecting the next couple of weeks.

Swaddling is one of the greatest things they can teach you in the hospital. Do you blankets or the product they actually sell to swaddle? We've been using blankets since the "Swaddle Me" products we got from our showers were all size small and with her length (22" now) she doesn't fit into them. Any time she's fussy, we wrap her up tight and she quiets down (unless she's really really hungry).

We use the Target waffle brand thermal blankets my wife finds that they are big enough to wrap them good especially if they are long. Spencer at his last dr visit was 24" and he is way bigger. We had a couple Swaddle Me blankets but he was too big for them from the start. We also found out that if you "wrap" him when he is in his swing or car seat he chills out right away. Just tuck them in nice and tight like a wrap and they zone out. Dr. Brown bottles are a good brand they give less gas. He also likes car rides he generally falls asleep quickly. We did that at night to try to get him to sleep but we have slowed that down in order to not to get him to expect it every night. Plus it got way too damn cold to do it a few nights. lol
