I hope everyone has a wonderful and Merry Christmas.

I would of posted last night but I was feeling a little under the weather last night.

Went to my mom's and had Christmas Eve dinner and I probably ate too much pig and will probably do the same this afternoon.

I hope everyone has a great day and hope your kids get some sweet Star Wars toys....and a few for you guys too. wink

Merry Xmas Chris. I hope you had a great day.

I hope everyone else had a great day and had lots of fun.

We had some fun today went to the in-laws place. They all fussed over the lil one. Got some good gifts nothing SW related there. My wife picked up a coach's Bears sweater and the Fire Fly series on DVD along with the Blade Trilogy. Lil Spencer got daddy the Yoda and DV snow globes, 3PO talking car decoration, and a Under Armor knit hat.

Saw your last post and hoping you see this in time, Chris, but the Travel Channel was due to re-air the parade @ 4:00 PM ET. I will tape it in case you miss that, however. happy

Chris, the Travel Channel's signal flaked out on me in the middle of the 4:00 rebroadcast, but I did manage to get one of the Star Wars floats and the 501st on tape. Sorry, but at least you'll be able to see that. plain It may also be available on-demand (however, I can't remember if you have digital cable, if Travel Channel programming is available on-demand, or if that particular program will be available on-demand).

I was able to tape most of the parade. I stop shortly after GL came thru. Will bring it to the next meet. One of my friends recorded it via TIVO so I may try to get him to either send me the footage via zip file or just burn me a cd. Who knows it will probably be on youtube or myspace video by now then again GL will probably have it taken down since he is a control freak.

Thanks guys. It was a very quiet day at work but thankfully no problems and the day seemed not to drag too much which most holidays at my work tend to do.

So How long did the Star Wars part of the parade last for?

Did Lucas speak or anything? Or anything of interest?

Hope everyone had a great New Year's Eve and a hopefully not too many hangovers today.

the SW floats lasted about 5 minutes. They had the Endor moon float first. That had some Ewoks on it and was escorted by Boba Fett. Then they had the Naboo float that had a couple Padmes as well as a Jedi or two. Walking along side it was Obi-wan (ANH version) who was at C3 (looks just like the guy) and one of the Anakins that was at C3. The Grambling State University band dressed up like Imperial officers and played the SW theme. Then there was the 501st roughly 200 troopers from all over the world. GL came later on in an old vehicle can't remember the vehicle though. I don't know if he spoke but there wasn't much to his part that I saw. He might have spoke later on I don't know I didn't watch the whole parade.

Hopefully you caught one of the rebroadcasts Chris. It was on again last night at 11:00 on one of the Discovery channels. I watched it live on HGTV and their coverage of it was pretty weak. Not nearly enough close-ups and the broadcasters were pretneding to know what they were talking about, but obviously didn't. Ended up switching over to CBS (I think). They were about a minute behind HGTV so I was able to catch the first SW float again. Their video coverage was much better.
