I'll check on the 24th with Nicole.
As far at the shirts go,I want white. Cost is the issue I think and white is right when it comes to money.
I love the FanForce but I wish we could all still hang out without having to use 'meet' as an excuse.
I do not know how I feel about uniting under one banner. I had a nasty fallout with the New England Raiders Boosters over that since I refused to travel to Rhone Island or Connecticut all the time.
What say you about getting together at Six Flags late summer; SuperMegaMeet? Easy planning and I may be able to get hotel rooms at the Sheraton there for easy travel, cheaper rooms too.
Another thing, where is Chris?
I do not need new Star Wars to survive with this group. I just want to hang out and enjoy a fun time with good people.

By the way, we do have a super cool Myspace page that could serve as our other home since it has a comment section that could be the scrolling message center etc: [link=www.myspace.com/44781567][/link]
I say this for the shirt:
I am not worried about the logo either. Let's just say 'yes' or 'no' to this, move on and see what happens. I'm the bad boy of this bunch so I can figure something out to get this design on a shirt. I fooled good ole Steve Stansweet already...

Congrats Matt that is awesome. I am glad to hear that mom and baby are doing well. Can't to see some pics man.
I guess I should chime in on the whole meet thing since I brought up the whole thing. lol I do like the fact that we can get together and have fun from time to time. However I do think we need to at least have discussions/talks from time to time. We do need to discuss things like the website, shirts, CR, groups future, events, etc I for one would like to talk about these things in person and not air the stuff on our boards. After meeting most of you I can say that there shouldn't be any problems with discussing things in person. We all seem to be laid back and friendly and I just don't see us having long dragged out fights over things. Not to rip the Boston group but I could see that fights happening at meets over group stuff when I first joined the boards they all seemed to take things way too serious. I could be wrong since I never met them, but when I was almost banned for a joking comment and stirred the pot a lil bit I can see why this group was formed.
anyway, I look forward to meeting up with everyone again and it should be a great time like always.

RE: June meet....

All I can say is if for one micro second things become not fun and debates last longer than a few moments I'm out. I've seen it happen and I now it is only a matter of time before it dooms this place. It has happened to other FanForces and I would hate for it to happen here*
Like I said there is nothing 'important' for us to debate. This is all supposed to be fun and to be honest there has been mostly all talk no walk with a few things here because no one outside Chris and myself really cared or showed interest at the time. I just want things to happen because if they do not happen then the Fan Force is going to die out. It almost did two summers ago if not for Chris breathing some life back into it.
Already I am a bit irritated. I am not here to be serious. Sure serious when need be but shirts, a table at a con etc is not to be hammered out like some business meeting under a FanForce banner. We're not a booster club. Fan Forces were set up so Fans could meet other fans and enjoy the love and passion and fun of Star Wars. IMO that all goes out the window as soon as things get 'serious'. With all honesty, who here has the time to dedicate themselves 100% to the FIS in a serious manner? Most of us have kids and know how hard it is to manage time outside of our family obligations.
I would be more than happy to talk things over a grill and some Landos, soda etc that's it. I'm leaving the suit and tie in the closet when I get into FIS mode.
I am very flattered that Chris would toss my name in to be the CR. I remember when this group laughed and had a great time about what the group name would even be, last year's trip to Boston to see the museum display and the trip to Boston to see EPIII. Several trips to my place, Jillian's etc. What with no Star Wars on the immediate horizon we have to get 'serious'. Well it's not up to me to decide how this group ends up. It is up to all of us and I can assure you this place will die out if the fun is removed.
With that, I am very bummed about Chris being upset and stepping down, I am bummed that things are even being talked about as 'serious' and I am bummed that I am even bummed out.

RE: June meet....

I want to clear the air on this all this "serious" talk. All I suggested was that we should have a discussion to talk about the group at the next meeting. That was just a suggestion. I also said I would like to see as a force amongst the fan forces and what I meant was that we could be one of the best groups out there. I have felt for a long time that we could be better than what we have been. We are all a bunch of good people there is no doubt about that. I have enjoyed meeting up with everyone from time to time. What has frustrated me is the lack of activity on the boards and the lack of people showing up for meets. I have seen people come and go from here for whatever reason the past two yrs and it has bothered me a lot to see that. I know it has bothered others as well. Fan Forces in New England have been fading the past few yrs probably due to the lack of SW related material who knows with that I said I know I would not want to see New England lose any more. We have already lost CT and VT. Rhode Island is pretty much gone as well as Maine. Even though they aren't necessarily New England New Jersey is practically gone as well. I feel if it weren't for Richie Boston would be gone since they have little to no activity on their boards. There have been times were I thought for sure Foxboro would be gone due to lack of activity. We have turned things around for the most part, which is good but who knows what will happen in the future. I am not the only concerned about this, but I will let those guys speak for themselves. There have been conversations outside the group concerning the group and groups future was one of the biggest concerns that and trying to get more people involved so we don't lose our group. So that is why I brought up the need to have discussions from time to time since in the 2 yrs I have been a part of this group we have had maybe two during a met the rest have been in passing with a few of us.
I don't want to take things serious to be honest with everyone I have no idea were that came from. To be this whole discussion has gotten out of control and needs to be put to bed. Over the last two yrs I have seen a lot of stuff and during some of this time things weren't good. Hell for a lot of the meets it was only Chris, Jim, and I showing up. Mike attended a few when he could. There were some successful meets followed by periods of people going missing for whatever reason. I know I don't want to go through those periods again because they sucked and I would probably go my own way if they happened again.
So with that said I do want people to know I want the group to more importantly have fun and enjoy themselves. I also want the group to succeed for many yrs to come and I am sure others want that as well.

RE: June meet....

Let me jump in here for a minute and say a few things before we all get worked up about small things.
We all including myself and other people here have had personal issues that kind of take over alot of time and we aren't able to post or go to meets.
You as a member here are not required to go to every single meet.
If you can't make it..you can't make it...no judgement by me at all on that.
That's unless you say you will be there and then you don't explain why.
Unless it is a personal issue outside of fanforce, then it nobody's business unless that person wants to share that information.
That will be respected here always.
We have had members not post or show to meets for awhile but one thing remains all but one have come back to participate in fanforce.
I will speak about a particular time at my house where before Wormie was CR for Boston, someone else was.
There was a multi-fanforce meet with Providence, Boston, and Foxboro.
At this meet there was a "drama" situation with the former CR that was taking it too seriously which caused some people to reduce activity or leave Boston over time.
I know that was a cause for me leaving Boston because it became, not fun anymore and I felt that the best thing was for me to leave. I hated leaving fanforce but the circumstances forced me to have to leave Boston.
This caused me to attempt and start the Foxboro fanforce, so I could hang out and chat with fellow Star Wars fans.
When this drama at my house was seen by some people that were new to fanforce, the situation was a "turn off" and made people reluctant to maybe want to stay with fanforce at all. I know cause I spoke to a few people on this and told them that "this is not the case with all fanforces"
One of those people was Aaron who asked about the drama.
After that CR left Boston Wormie has been the CR and those drama issues are no longer an element.
I have no issues with the former Boston CR anymore.
We are friendly and that CR had alot of personal issues that had to be taken care of and the CR ended up having to move back home out of state.
So let's have the meet and discus things in a calm and friendly atomosphere.
I think posting doesn't quite convey the right attitudes and understanding that face to face can be achieved better.
We will still have fun but we can discuss some fanforce matters also.
As far as my nomination of Aaron I made the choice because like I said he is a founding member. He like some of us have had personal issues that keep us from contact alot and that like I said is understandable. He is back and is posting and has a real zest for Foxboro that I have seen.
I would of voted Wormie, but he is already a CR.
And Jorge was also one of the three in my mind for the CR.
I hope this clears some things up and let's not get feelings hurt here and have a meet with cool heads.
I will try to post when possible but my input maybe down a bit due to my personal issues right now that some of you know about and I will only talk off boards about it.
Thanks for all your support and nice words I have received from you all,
Chris

Like I said. Want this group to survive? Remove anything serious and continue on with what has gotten us this far. Just good old fun.
Honestly for me other FanForces are not my concern. I see Foxboro as an example of what this group can be. Right now things are not so healthy but we're still here. Other FFs can't even say that.
So lets get some shirts, plan a nice and big meet for all of us and our family to enjoy and let things roll on.
Trying to get others groups under one banner is group suicide. They have already shown that they are not committed have moved in with things. Let us just continue to work and enjoy each other.
Jorge, it is okay to say what you have to say. I won't get angry if you do not agree with with anything I said or you have a diffrent vision of things. It is 'worth it'. Sorry if you felt maybe my post was directed at you because it wasn't. It was just how I feel about stuff here.
Before the next meet I think we should all decide where this is going and what route the group is taking to get there to help avoid any uncomfortable feelings at said meet.
