As updates to the Randy Moss situation, the article I previously linked is no longer available on the WDBO site. According to a Boston Globe article on the situation, Moss emphasized that he believes the allegations are false (as stated earlier) and that the woman in question is attempting to extort money from him with the claim.

This is my favorite day of the year in football.
I love the AFC & NFC Championships. They are my favorite every year.

The Red Sox have announced the schedule for their trip to Japan. They will open w/ an exhibition against the Hanshin Tigers @ the Toyko Dome on 3/22 @ 12:07 PM Japan time (3/21 11:07 PM ET). That is followed by an exhibition the next day against the Yomiuri Giants @ 7:07 PM Japan time (6:07 AM ET). They get a day off, then open the major league regular season against the Oakland A's on 3/25-26, both games @ 7:07 PM Japan time (6:07 AM ET) @ the Tokyo Dome.

Chargers
Did Not Participate In Practice: TE Antonio Gates (toe), QB Philip Rivers (knee), RB LaDanian Tomlinson (knee), DT Jamal Williams (team decision)
Limited Participation In Practice: LB Shawne Merriman (illness)
Full Participation In Practice: FB Lorenzo Neal (fibula)
Patriots
Did Not Participate In Practice: S Mel Mitchell (arm), OT Ryan O'Callaghan (flu)
Limited Participation In Practice: QB Tom Brady (right shoulder), G Stephen Neal (shoulder), WR Donte' Stallworth (knee)
Of course, the injuries of note are those to the Chargers' "Big Three" of Rivers, Tomlinson, and Gates. It has already been noted that Rivers has been listed as questionable for Sunday's game. Tomlinson said he expected to play, while Gates played through his dislocated toe last Sunday against the Colts.

Fairly convincing win for the Celtics last night over the Blazers, 100-90 (I only say fairly b/c it was a free throw contest at the end), but what made it notable was Sugar Ray Allen's 35 points, the most a Celtic has scored in a game this season. Ray Allen had been running rather cold recently, as well. The Cs kind of need a healthy Rajon Rondo back, though...their offense is so much better with Rondo on the point running it.

Changes to the injury/participation reports today...
Chargers: FB Lorenzo Neal (FP, fibula) was removed from the report. RB LaDainian Tomlinson (DNP, knee) had full participation in practice.
Patriots: OT Ryan O'Callaghan (DNP, flu) and WR Donte' Stallworth (LP, knee) were removed from the report. OT Matt Light was added to the report, did not participate in practice due to the flu. S Mel Mitchell (DNP, arm) had his injury respecified as a biceps injury.

Probable: LB Shawne Merriman (illness)
Patriots
Out: S Mel Mitchell (arm)
Probable: QB Tom Brady (right shoulder), S Rodney Harrison (thigh)
For the Patriots, Mitchell and Harrison did not practice, and Brady had full participation in practice.

To update the Chargers' injury report, Gates and Williams did not practice today, while Rivers and Merriman had limited participation in practice. While Rivers is officially listed as doubtful, a report cited by WEEI said Rivers would be a gametime decision.

What an awesome game! The cold temps were not that bad although I'm sure the combination of layers and alcohol helped a bit.
