Nice to know I'm not alone in my feelings towards the Bruins.

In other news, it looks like the Red Sox threw Doug Mirabelli a knuckleball he couldn't catch. They released him today.

Also, in a more-or-less expected move, the Sox placed Curt Schilling on the 60-day DL. Smart move, as since Schill won't pitch until at least after the All-Star break, it would be pointless to waste a spot on the 40-man roster on him.

I have tickets for the B's game tonight. I'm not even in the mood to go. Despite he injuries and he lack of pulling the trigger at the deadline, it looked like this team was going to weather thier way into the playoffs, now with these last 3 games, it just looks like we're seeing the same bruins team as we have for the last 16 years, just with a many new names on the sweaters. Despite being angry, I still hold a glimmer of hope under the anger I hold. The past 2 seasons I came into a great deal with one o our clients at our Paintball field who has season tickets. They are row 1, so they are hard to pas up even if the team is horrible. I'm just hoping we can at least win a game tonight against the bottom of the barrel lightning.

I won't hold my breath.

I forgot to note that the Celtics crushed the Sonics at the Garden last night for their 10th straight win, their first such winning streak since the 1986 championship season. The C's have held serve against the weaker sisters, but face a tough test next week, with what Sean Grande likes to call the "Texas three-step" (Spurs, Mavericks, and the Rockets, who are on a 20-game winning streak of their own right now) coming up, a road trip which will also have the New Orleans Hornets, another team that looks to be playoff-bound, thrown in at the end.

The New England Patriots released Troy Brown today as well. Lots of shake up in Boston Sports today.
The Bruins were doing well for a while and now they are faltering again. I agree with an earlier post that when the Bruins actually get an owner who cares about winning and will shell out the money for players, I dont think we will see the Stanley Cup in Boston for a while. the Celtics have owners who care and look at how they are playing. the Red Sox have won two world series in 3 years and the Patriots, even though they lost this year in the Super Bowl, have brought 3 championships and have made it to the playoffs 6 out of 7 years since 2001. Jeremy Jacobs should give up the Bruins to someone who actually cares about the game of Hockey. Before there playoff losses in the 90's, the Bruins made it to the playoffs, I think, 28 years straight, now we cant even make it. Something has to be done about it. It seems recently that watching minor league hockey is better.....

It's too bad abou Troy Brown I wish he would of finished his career with the Patriots.

To me it is like Jerry Rice not finishing his career in San Fran.

Jacobs does need to sell the team to a responsible person or group that will put the effort into not making dumb decions as he has done. (i.e. trading Joe Thornton?!!!)

What did the Bruins do this year at trade deadlines to improve the team...nothing.

Well at least the Celtics are on the road to the playoffs.

And I know for a lot of people the beginning of baseball is first and foremost on your minds.

I am wondering if Mirabelli will be driven to the airport by police escort again to the park when he gets traded back to Red Sox later on in the season?

Can lightning strike twice?

The seats were section 11, just to the right of the tampa penalty box, just past the blue line in the tampa defensive zone, for 2 periods at least.

NOOOOOOOOO! shame_on_you

Sad to see the Pats won't be offering 'Mr. Bingo! I've got Bingo!' a contract for next year. He's been my favorite Patriot for the past decade. Unfortunately with the performance of guys like Welker on offense and Hobbs returning punts, there really isn't a place for him on the roster.

Here's hoping he chooses retirement as opposed to suiting up in another teams uniform.

We'll have to see how Kevin Cash works out catching for Wakefield. If he doesnt, I bet the sox will get Mirabelli one more time. Unless, they will make Cash learn how to catch the knuckle ball....

With the release of Troy Brown, well, the patriots have made strange moves in the past and they have proved all of us critics wrong.

The Celtics have a descent team finally since 1986. Has it really been that long??

The Bruins, well, I can say that even though I ranted, Jeremy Jacobs is making money oe way or another and as long as he has the cash cow of the merchandising. I guess it pays to be greedy every now and then. On Thornton's defense, the Bruins may have traded him away, but he also asked to be traded because the Bruins were not bringing in any talent to help him. He is one of the top players in the league, but you need other talent to compliment his skills. I miss him as a Bruin, but I think he is better off career wise where he is now.

On the Troy Brown topic, they released him once already last year and he ended up back with the patriots.

Well, Troy Brown signed with the New York Jets today. No chance of him signing with the Pats again......

No, Troy Brown only visited with the Jets yesterday. No contract offered or signed.

How 'bout the C's coming back from 22 points down last night? grin

Looks like the Sox have decided on Dice-K and Jon Lester to start the two games against the A's in Japan. They leave for Japan after their last game in Florida tomorrow.
