If Ray Park is coming back to town, I might have to reorganize the schedule a bit... my little man would LOVE to meet him!

Still no word from the organizer about a table for us.

I was really looking forward to Prowse being there. I ordered his autograph from his website a few years ago, but wanted to get another one in person. I think it's great they secured another SW guest, I just wish it wasn't one who was just there two years ago. Last year I went to a second fest in Cambridge after SMF. I wonder if that will be happening again and if they'd have a SW guest. I can't remember what it was called, except that it was New England something. As it stands now I probably won't make it out to SWF if the only SW guest is Ray Park.

the con you are thinking of is New England Fan Experience. It was the same weekend as SMF last year. This year it is the weekend before and so far no SW guests. The big draw is Leonard Nimoy for the Sci-Fi. Last year they had Daniel Logan for SW.

http://www.nefanx.com/experience/scifi - their website for Sci-Fi the con is several different themes under one roof.

Even with the addition of Ray I am more than likely not going. Not worth it for me to head there to see more Playboy playmates than serious actors. I don't want to take my son to that. If the guy wants to do an adult show he should just scrap the SMF idea and go that route.

Start to get some items for the gift baskets.

1. Does anyone have anything to donate?

2. Do anyone have baskets to donate for giveaway?

3. Tickets, do someone have the leftover ticket rolls?

I have a Jodo Kast figure to donate, but it'll be a trick getting it to you (trick being something like a run to Staples to use their shipping service).

We also still need to contact our chosen charity organization.

I still have that giant Clone Wars thing. And I'm still not happy about what happened with it. Last year, we only sold a few tickets for it, and deciding it wasn't enough, we decided not to raffle it off. Fine, right? Except for the fact that, despite my pressing for it, we never returned the money to those few who bought tickets. sad

So if we show up with the thing again, what if we're asked why we still have it, should anyone who bought a ticket for it last year go there this year? And also, Saturday of last year, we had it right against the edge of our space, people were bumping into it all day, so its edges are not in the best condition.

I contacted Wormie ... he suggested we use Melody Gaeta as our contact at autismspeaks.org
I will contact her to let her know we will be raising money for them and, at Wormie's suggestion, ask for some giveaways for people who donate.

I've got nothing (no items, no baskets this year).

As far as the Clone Wars stand up.... I wouldn't bring it.

There's my 2 pennies. happy

So I should keep the CW thing? I don't have a problem with that, just want to know for certain...?

Yeah go ahead and keep it. It would of been perfect to have it for the 2007 show.

Hopefully we will have a better location this year.

I went through my basement and found some stuff to bring.

I will post up my items once I get it all sorted.

A new Star Wars guest should be posted soon on the SMF site.
Here are some Star Wars sketch cards I have done for Topps Cards:
