This May, the Memphis Public Library and Information Center, in conjunction with Random House, is sponsoring an author event to celebrate THE 30th Anniversary. This intergenerational program, targeted to teens and adults, will feature a visit by author Daniel Wallace. Mr. Wallace will speak and autograph books. We anticipate lots of time for a question and answer session, and want to invite all Star Wars fans in the area to come mark this occasion with us. Costumes are welcome!
The program will be on Monday night, May 14, 2007, from 6:30-8:00pm, in the meeting room suite of the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library, 3030 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN. The event is free, and open to the public.
I hope you will be able to help us get the word out to the Star Wars fans in the Mid-South. Many thanks to Laj-Fett and Rhondaroo for steering us to The Force Net contact folks to help our effort to promote this evening to those who would most enjoy it. I haven't heard back from them yet, but the room will accomodate at least 175 people, so we've got high hopes for a big crowd.

I talked to a representative from the Library this afternoon and they are looking for a group of costumers to appear on a morning TV show on the day of the signing (Monday the 14th). She's going to work out the details tomorrow and get back with me, but let me know if anyone would be available/interested!
(If we can't get a group of costumers, it'll just be me and that'll be really boring.  )

Okay, here's the info for the TV interview on Monday morning, May 14th:
The morning show appearance will be at 8:45am on Monday, May 14 at Fox 13 (485 S. Highland). They will interview one person (me or Tim) and they would like a group of costumers, if possible. Whoever is going would need to be there by 8:15 a.m.
Please post here in the thread and let me know if you can make it to the TV show in costume!
I’m working on the arrangements for a changing area prior to the actual signing event that evening and I'll post it as soon as it's finalized. 
And here's the promotional flyer from the Library. If anyone wants the PDF version for email distribution or to print and pass out, I can email it to you.
